Back again in blogland! Christmas festivities almost done, just the big party at my sister's house tomorrow night, then I can put the corkscrew away!
Today's card is one I've made for almost nothing! I bought the stamp a while ago from Saturated Canary; she's called "Double Take" and this is the first time I've coloured her in. I've used my Promarkers along with some Stickles for a bit of glam! Isn't she lovely?!
The rest of the card is made from goodies from my stash. The papers were free in a magazine, the kraft card is from the inside of some Christmas wrapping paper, but what I'm most pleased with is the dangling bead charm I've made using beads that I've had since my early teens, when I got into making earrings...a LONG time ago! I've finished off with a diecut layered flower with pearl flower centre.
Hope you like it! A head start for me on my New Years Resolution....USE SOME STASH!!!
I'm entering this in Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas Challenge "any Christmas card" and Saturated Canary Challenge "Rebekah's Photo Inspiration" and here's the photo:
And last but not least, Joanna Sheen Challenge "with-love-at-christmas" , who are also after new GDT members if anyone's interested!
That's all from me for today. More to come soon!

DOGGY CHRISTMAS CARD FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL
Long time, no blog! And this is a very quick one! I wanted to make this card to enter Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge this week because I feel like I've been negleting it. I've been busy doing Christmas card orders, but I cannot express how grateful I am to Hazel and her blog, because if I hadn't discovered her and the blog, I wouldn't have all my own personal cards done yet! I've also re-discovered knitting and I'm making little Christmas puds that go on a well known round chocolate treat. They look lovely, the link for the recipe is here http://appletreecrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/free-knitting-pattern-mini-christmas.html. They are so quick to make, I'm doing them for all my family and special friends.
Back to the card....this is for a very special friend I met years ago through work. Sadly, she moved away and made a new life Lincoln way, setting up her own dog-grooming business. Hence, the card had to have a doggy on it! I've made a simple easel card, using some snowflake and dotty papers on a silver base card. Bit of stripey ribbon, and die-cut doggy courtesy of my Cricut! I love him!
Last minute entry in the challenge but fingers crossed for a win because the prize is lovely!

MO MANNING CHRISTMAS CARD
I've been neglecting Mo Manning of late but as this weeks Crafty Hazelnuts Challenge has called for a card for a man or boy, I knew exactly where to go for inspiration! I do love Mo's stamps and I've ended up spending more than I should but hey ho!
I've chosen to use "Timmy's Stocking" for this card...I think he's really cute. I've coloured him in with Promarkers, and layered the image onto some lovely Daisy & Dandelion Christmas papers. The ribbon is from the little collection my neighbour gives me (she cuts ribbon off everything for me!), and the sentiment stamp is an old one I found in my stash. I've finished the card off with a padded snowflake and some black gems.
I'm entering this in CHNC chalenge "for a man or a boy" and in Mo's Digital Challenge "C is for...." CHRISTMAS!!
I'm off to do the school run now. Then going to do not a lot....it IS my birthday! I've been spoilt rotten. Hubby has bought me the Kindle Fire so I've got to get my head round even more technology! Should be fun!

PS. Almost forgot to mention CHNC new monthly challenge blog which will start soon, and to celebrate Hazel is giving away some great candy, along with the chance to be a guest designer. Go on! Have a go....you never know where it may lead! Details can be found here Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas Challenge2.

BLACK & WHITE CHRISTMAS VERSE CARD
Simples again from me this week! It's "Black & White" theme over at CHNC this week so I chose this lovely stamp to work with. I think the words are beautiful. I might even use this as my "batch" card this year.
I've stamped the verse onto white card and layered it on a piece of gold mirri card, then attached it onto a base made from white "Merry Christmas" embossed card. Keeping the embellishment simple, I've added a black fluorish, and a white and gold layered poinsettia, which I cut on my Cricut. Added a little bit of Christmas sparkle with some gold Stickles! SIMPLES!
So this is my entry in Crafty HazelNuts Christmas challenge "black and white, plus one other colour".

SNOWY DAYS CHRISTMAS CARD
I'm chuffed to bits with myself for making this one! I had a bit of a clearout in the old craft room recently, and found these lovely stickers by Penny Black called "Snowy Day". I love this big cuddly snowman. But what to do with him?! I decided to have a go with some acetate for a change. The base card is made from a piece of dotty emboosed blue card, onto which I've matted and layered Mr Snowman. I then stuck a piece of acetate to the back of the card and folded it over to cover the front. Onto this, I've stuck some snowflake stickers , and the "Snowy Days" wording. I love the lifted effect the acetate gives.

CUTE KITTY CAROL SINGING CHRISTMAS CARD
I feel I've been negleting my blog! But we've had lots of birthdays and anniversaries in the last few weeks, I've just not had the time; been too busy having fun!
Anyway, I've managed to make this card in memory of our beloved "Onion", our cat that past away a few weeks ago. The stamp is from Digistamp Boutique, and I've coloured her in with my Promarkers. I've layered up some papers (can't remember where they are from....sorry!) onto some beige card, and added a strip of corrugated card, which I pinched from a craft kit I bought for my little girl. The sentiment stamp is an oldie but goodie I found whilst having a clearout in my craft room. Finished off with some white seam binding and some snowflakes.

GOLDFISH BOWL BIRTHDAY CARD
A very quick post tonight as I've yet to get things ready for work and school in the morning!
I've made this card for my second "Mum"; it's her birthday on friday. The fishy bowl is cut from blue glitter card, and layered with acetate, with the little fishy "swimming" in between. It's very difficult to capture on camera, but the effect is quite realistic. I've simply layered this on some corrugated card, and beige paper, on a blue base. The sentiment reads "From Me To You" which is how 2nd Mum signs off her texts to me!

AWAY IN A MANGER CHRISTMAS CARD
Quick and simple card today! I have got so much to do but I'm feeling quite calm!
This card is so easy to make....all I've done is colour a piece of white card with my Promarkers to give a sunset effect, then added a Nativity scene peel-off. Layered onto black card on a white A5 card base. I've tied some black and gold ribbon round the card, and finished off with "Away In A Manger" peel-offs. Simples!
I've got my best buddie popping in soon to pick up a 50th wedding anniversary card, which I will share with you later (she has to see it first!). I will be baking another batch of Marrow Cakes (got to use up the never-ending supply of marrows some how!), and the BIG CHOCOLATE CAKE, which is a heart attack in a tin, but is so delicious, I can't resist.
And will try and get some toppers done to sell on ebay, and the numerous birthday cards for family birthdays coming up will not make themselves, so I best get cracking!

PLAYING IN THE SNOW CHRISTMAS CARD
Good evening blogland! I've missed you! It seems my kids' social lives are taking over my life now, so little time, so much to do! Oh well, wouldn't change a thing!
I've gone all out with the sparkle this week. Two new "finds" for me; the fabulous "Twinklets" Diamond Dust, which I just love, and a new digi stamp shop Squiggle Stamps, which has some rather cute images. This one is called "Autumn Leaves" but I've tweaked it to get rid of leaves, and replaced them with snowballs made with the Twinklets! I coloured her in with Promarkers, to make her look like my little girl. I've used papers from Dovecrafts "Winter Wonderland", and finished it off with some flowers and a snowflake from my stash.
Super busy time for me right now. Husband's birthday next week, then both kiddies, followed by numerous other family, then MINE! And it seems half the world got married in September because I've been asked to do LOADS of anniversary cards too. I will try and share what I make, time allowing.
I'm entering this in CHNC challenge "fun and games".

ROCKING GOOD CHRISTMAS CARD FOR MY LITTLE GIRL
As I let the side down last week, I thought I'd make a special card this week! Unfortunately, our little cat died, very peacefully, last saturday, so I didn't really feel like crafting much. She had a good innings, 17 lively years, but such a quick end. In the space of a week she was gone...but she's in cat heaven now, playing once again with her sister who we lost last year.
Just got the bonkers pup now!
Back to the card! I folded an A4 piece of card in half , and rounded the bottom edge to form a rocker card. And what rocks??!! A rocking horse! I made this with my little girl in mind so it had to have pink and be very sparkly! I used some edging from my stash and finished off with some shiny snowflakes.
I'm entering this in CHNC challenge "a card for a child".

MO MANNING SPREADING THE JOY CARD
Sad night for me! I'm sat here on my own! My boy is at camp with the Air Cadets, my husband is out playing pool, daughter out with her friends, and I've got a very poorly cat! :-(
So I thought I'd share a card with my blogger friends!
This is one I've made for a work colleague for her Mum. She loves lilacs so they were the colours I chose to colour in my little Mo Manning image. I love this cutie! The paper is from Raspberry Road (had a bit of a spending spree in their sale at the weekend!) and I've layered it up with some lilac glittery paper and white card. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and the ribbon and gems from my stash.
I'm entering this is in Mo's Digital Challenge "Lovely Layers".
Off work now until next wednesday, which is a good job because I've been asked to make another 6 cards, all for next week!

KISSING REINDEER CHRISTMAS CARD
Last but not least! My third card to share with you as guest designer for Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge "For a couple".
For this one, I chose another stamp from Digi Stamp Boutique which I thought was perfect for a couple. Coloured in with Promarkers and layered on gold mirri card, and added to a base card which I've made by layering up some Papermania "Mistletoe Kisses" papers on red card. I've used some red trim from my stash, and finished off with a few matching flowers to which I've added some gold Stickles.
That's it from me (for now!). Please join in the fun! I look forward to seeing your creations.

CUDDLY BEARS CHRISTMAS CARD
This is my second card as guest designer for Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge "For a couple". This time I've used a digistamp from Digi Stamp Boutique which I've coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with a little glitter. I've made a square base card, and cut the front in half, layered up some papers from Papermania "Mistletoe Kisses" onto gold mirri card, then matted and layered the image and attached some ribbon to hang the sentiment from. With some buttons to embellish. Simples!

SIMPLE WHITE CHRISTMAS CARD
This is a card I've made following the sketch over at Freshly made sketches :
I decided on an all white card....you can't get more clean and simple than that can you?! Lol! So, I made a base card with white pearlescent card, added a layer of dotty embossed paper, a strip of pearlescent card, and some snowflakes cut on my Cricut. I've embellished these with gems...have to have a bit of sparkle for Christmas! Finished off with a sentiment tag from my stash. I love it!

MY FIRST MAGNOLIA TILDA CARD
I've finally plucked up the courage to share this card, it's taken me a while as it's my very first attempt at colouring a Tilda! I'm not a huge fan but thought I'd have a go. This one is from the Turning Leaves collection. I've coloured her in with Promarkers, and as Autumn always makes me want to snuggle up with a good book (and my good man!) , I made a bookmark too! The base card is a criss-cross design, but I've curved the edges for a change. I've used papers from Raspberry Road "Faith Hope Joy" collection, which I love. I've used a Marianne Designs swirly die-cut ( from "dies to die for" ) and embellished with flowers which are mostly from WOC, plus a few from my flower mountain! I've added a little pink lace and some lovely rose cameos which I found on ebay. The insert card is simply a piece of the paper layered onto some card, with a lace handle.
Not bad for a first go!
I'm entering this in Dies to die for challenge "Anything goes".
Time for me to go get snuggly with my book (the man is out!) lol

Quicky card today because I've got lots I want to do. Back to work on monday so thought I'd better crack on with the crafting! I've made this card using a lovely digistamp from Printable Craftshop which I've printed onto sky effect paper, and layered on some silver mirri card. I've added some silvery edged organza ribbon and some gems for a bit of Christmas sparkle. I like simples!

MUMMY TO BE CARD
I've been asked to make a Mummy to be card and was going to use a pregnant lady die-cut but then remembered I'd bought this stamp from Mo Manning's digi shop, and went with this instead. I've coloured her in with Promarkers and layered up a base card with some digipapers I bought a while back, possibly from Cuddly Buddly?! I've had the Big Shot out again to cut the pretty ribbon border and corner, (Marianne Designs from Dies to Die for). I've added some pinky pearls and pink and green flowers from WOC with a few twirly wires.
I'm entering this in the Wild Orchid Challenge which is "Pinks & Greens".

MISTLETOE & WINE CHRISTMAS CARD
Evening all! This weeks challenge at Crafty Hazel Nuts Blog is festive food or drink. I, of course, went down the drink route! Lol! I've treated myself to a new toy this week, well, why not? Bought myself a Big Shot and I love it. I used the embossing folder that came with it to emboss some white card for the background, and cut the bottle and glass on my ever faithful Cricut (you are still my number one my precious!). Also diecut the mistletoe and added some sparkly berries. I then layered this ensemble onto some gold mirri card, and attached it to a cream base card, wrapped with burgundy ribbon. Just a few green buttons to finish it off.
This is my first entry into CHNC challenge, I may do more if time allows.

FALLING SNOWFLAKES CHRISTMAS CARD
It's a sign I'm not at work! Second card made this week already, along with lots of toppers to sell on ebay. I've been a busy gal! Me and the family went bowling today aswell...lots of fun had by all. Not mentioning the scores though :-) xx
I wanted to try something new on this card, a spinning wheel. I made a base card and layered up some snowflake paper from "Winter Wonderland" again, onto gold mirri card. Then cut a hole in all the layers, and behind this, I've used a split pin to attach a spinning wheel, to which I've stuck lots of snowflake punchies and Stickles. The wheel can be turned by the scalloped edge which you can see sticking out. I then cut a lovley snowy cottage on my Cricut and attached this with foam pads to hide the split pin. I'm really pleased with it!
That's all for today. The boys are off out playing pool tomorrow, leaving me and my lovely little Poppi to entertain ourselves...it's bound to involve glue! Lol xx

BLUE BLUE CHRISTMAS CARD
Easy easel card today, using my favourite colour, blue! That's the challenge this week over at CHNC
"Use your favourite colour/s". Easy for me. Blue has been my fave ever since I can remember. I even begged to have blue hair in my teens but wasn't allowed :-(
Anyway, back to my card. I've made a base easel card and layered up some paper from "Dovecraft Winter Wonderland" on silver mirri board, done the inside to match! I've attached some blue lace and ribbon and then cut some lovely baubles on my Cricut, and attached these with pieces of ribbon, dangling from the top. Just used a couple of snowflakes to embellish. There is a sentiment inside the card, which also serves to hold up the easel part, but I didn't have time to take a proper photo and had to do it flat (sorry!).
Hopefully, I will get chance to watch some of the Olympics tonight. Loved watching Bolt bolting! But my favourite so far has to be Jessica Ennis. Loving it all and proud to be a Brit!

SIMPLE SILHOUETTE CHRISTMAS TREES
A quick simple card today to celebrate the start of my holidays! Yay for me! Just over two weeks off work...lots of fun to be had!
For this one I have cut the Christmas tree silhouette on my Cricut and added some real effect snow. I have layered it onto some sky-print paper, and gold and black card. I've use some lovely black ribbon wrapped around the card, and finished off with a couple of gold padded stars.
This is my second entry in CHNC challenge "Tie a ribbon".
Off to engross myself in book two!

TREE OF LIFE CARD FOR A NEW FAMILY
I thought I'd share this card with you as it's so simple but has to be one of my favourites. I was busy showing off all my Christmas cards to an "old" friend (she's the other side of 70!) last week, when her daughter came to visit. She had a good look through them too....lots of sales, which is nice, but then she asked if I made anything for a new family , but for people who have adopted a child. I love making baby cards but this called for something a little different, as some of the children that are found a family can be as old as six years. So I got back home and did a little searching, and found this lovely stamp. It's from Broken Box Stock.com and here's the link "Tree of Life" digistamp.
I think it's lovely. It fits the bill perfectly! I've printed a bigger version off to frame and hang on my wall.
Hope you like it too.

ME AND MY DOGGY!
Mo Manning strikes again! I love colouring this stamp up, using my Promarkers of course! I used blues and creams to match the decorative border I wanted to use, which was a freebie off an ebay seller. I've layered up some papers from my stash and embellished simply, with a double bow and some flatback pearls.
I have to cook tonight ( a rare thing nowadays....thanks hubby!); baked Basa fillets with Philadelphia and grilled peppers, hubby doing crushed new potaoes to go with it. Hope it turns out ok!
Hugs

Almost forgot....I'm entering this card in Mo's Digital Challenge "In the Doghouse" and Joanna Sheen Challenge "Animal Crackers".

TIS THE SEASON DIAMOND FOLD CHRISTMAS CARD
When I saw this weeks challenge on Crafty Hazelnut's Blog this morning, I knew excatly what I was going to make. And that is really not like me! I love diamond fold cards, so much room to decorate and embellish as much or as little as you like....and they are so easy to make.
I folded up the base card, and then layered up different papers from NitWits "Heavenly" collection on silver mirri card. I've wrapped various knotted ribbons around the two side panels before attaching them to the card. I attached the "Tis The Season" banner, from the same collection, with foam pads, and added some Stickles for a touch of sparkle. Job done!
I've been on a roll today, making a total of 11 cards and a few toppers to sell on ebay. I think I've been running on pure adrenaline....late night last night watching the opening ceremony for the Olympics. I managed to stay awake til about half way through "Hey Jude"! I thought the whole thing was magnificent! I'm fit to drop now though! Lol!
So this is my entry this week in CHNC challenge "Tie a Ribbon".
I've got lots of cards to share, including my first ever Magnolia Tilda...not a massive fan; I prefer Mo Manning Stamps, but I thought I'd have a go! When I feel brave enough, I show it!
Toodles for now.

SILENT NIGHT SCROLL CHRISTMAS CARD
Well, my working week is done! I've been made to give up my fridays off which means I now have my hours spread over five days instead of four, which is pants, but on the bright side I get to do the school run everyday, which is nice! Just not in the school hols! Nevermind. Had such a hectic day today, I had to make a card when I got home to stop me going mad!
So a quick little number today, using some lovely sparkly star print paper from Papermania "Henbury Lane Poinsettia" pack. I would be very grateful if anyone knows where I can get more of that...the A4 size, as I've been asked to make some more of the mistletoe tent cards, and I've run out of the paper I used :-(
Anyhoo....back to the card. The paper has been wrapped with red ribbon and a bow attached. The main feature is a printed scroll with a "Silent Night" verse on it. Then simply embellished with some flatback pearls.
This is a a last minute entry in CHNC challenge "Monochrome".
Hoping to have a big crafty weekend....with maybe a little gardening thrown in!

SPECIAL KISSES MO MANNING CARD
I do love this little girl! I've gone with a burgundy and cream colour scheme this time and made a gatefold card. Papers are from Raspberry Road which I've layered up inside and out on cream card. The image is Mo Manning's "Kisses" coloured in with Promarkers, and I've added some beautiful irridescent lace and pearls along the bottom. For the embellishments, I had a bit of luck just looking in some old drawers of beads....I found a dangly faux diamond ( which probably began it's life as an earring!) and some bead end caps which I didn't know I had, and added these to a heart hat pin. The heart was the wrong colour for my card, so I took a chance and coloured it with a burgundy Promarker...and it worked! I love the end result!
I finished the card off with some heart pearls from my stash to which I've added some sparkly gems!
I'm entering this in I Love Promarkers Challenge "Sparkle" and Mo's Digital Challenge "Hugs and Kisses".
Morning off with kiddies, them work for me later....at least I can enjoy the morning sunshine.

PRETTY PINK SNOWFLAKE CHRISTMAS CARD
What a glorious weekend we're having! I've had a good potter in the garden, tidied it up a bit, before card-making got the better off me!
I've made a tent card this week for CHNC "monochrome" challenge. I love making these because they are simple but very effective. The pinky papers are "Daisy & Dandelion" and I've cut and layered a snowflake on my Cricut. Embellished with my lovely pompoms and a few gems. Simples!
I think it may be wine O'clock now.

TWINKLE TWINKLE BIG GLISTENING STAR
Evening blogging world! Hope you've all had a good sunday. Mine has been a success. All washing done, dried and put away, bathroom cleaned to within an inch of it's life, lots of toppers made, happy happy kids out playing with their friends, and hubby out on his Harley. And the puppy has only bitten me once! Result!
And I've managed to find the time to make this stylish little number! I decided to make an all white card (had hoped to enter "Winter Wonderland" challenge but I'm too late!) and I'm really chuffed with it. I cut an oval aperture in some pearly white card and attached a layered star, cut on my Cricut. I've kept it quite simple with some embossing down each side, and embellished with white holly leaves and flat-backed pearls. I've applied some Stickles to the star and around the aperture, got to have a bit of sparkle for Christmas!
Hope you like it. Glass of red and a sit down for me now!
Hugs

PS. Entering this in CHNC "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

SILHOUETTE SNOWMEN CHRISTMAS CARD
Something a little different from me this week. I do enjoy trying different things as you've probably guessed already!
This is my first attempt at inking over a silhouette (there is probably a technical term for that!). So I cut three snowmen in different sizes on my Cricut, cut a piece of card to resemble snow, and taped them all down onto a piece of white card. I then set to work with different coloured inks, very naughty of me but I used the ink pads directly, hence the lines, but I quite like the effect.
I then peeled off the snowman family and VOILA! I didn't know whetehr to stick the hat and acarf etc on, but decided it looked better with. And then just added some snowflakes and oraganza ribbon to finish.
I like it. Hope you do too!
My first entry this week in CHNC "snowman" challenge.
I'm off out for a meal now with my old boss and friends. All you can eat Chinese....I'm coming to get you!

CAT IN A CHRISTMAS TREE CHRISTMAS CARD
I've been very naughty this week. I've bought some more Mo Manning digistamps AND I've had a bit of a spree at Raspberry Road. Well, they did have 50% off!
So, back to the card. This is called "Cat in a Christmas Tree" and she does remind me of one of our cats when she was a kitten. Sadly she's no longer with us, but her sister is still here, and she'll be 17 next month!
I've used Promarkers to colour, and layered up some Papermania "Mistletoe Kisses" papers onto some matt gold card. All wrapped up with ribbon from Dovecraft.
This is a late entry in CHNC "festive funnies".
I have to work tomorrow but it will be my last saturday! HOORAH! No more saturday working for me!

MO MANNING CARD JUSTIN'S ICE-CREAM
What a fab week I've had so far. We got to see The Olympic Torch on saturday, my little girl actually held it yesterday, which she thought was amazing! And the best of the week so far was seeing my little angel sing in our cathedral last night, kicking off the Lichfield Festival. I'm so proud!
Back to my card though. This is one I've made with another Mo Manning stamp "Justin's Ice-cream", very cute! Love that puppy!
I've coloured it in with Promarkers and simply layered it on red and blue papers on a white base card. The "FUN" banner was printed on my PC, and I've kept the embellishments simple, a wooden button tied with some red twine and a red heart hatpin (cut down), from Krafty Hands Online, to add a touch of love!
I'm entering this in Krafty Hands Challenge "red, white and blue".

I love this stamp! It's another one from Mo Manning and I think it's brilliant! I've coloured it in with my Promarkers and layered it onto some sparkly gold card, and then onto a church window shape. The base card is a strip of lovely shimmery paper from Papermania "A Silent Night", again layered on the gold card, and then onto a burgundy base.
Hope you like it!

STAMPENDOUS CHRISTMAS CARD NUMBER THREE
Quicky again! "Reindeer Swirls" stamp on kraft paper. This time layered on red and white card with red ribbon to finish.
My third entry in CHNC let's get inky.
Sorry for the short blogs today. Off out tonight to my friend's wedding reception, and I'm so annoyed with myself because I forgot to take a photo of the card I made her. I could've shared that with you too! Nevermind.
Our chance to see the Olympic flame tomorrow morning, once we've packed our son off camping. Why does everything happen at once in our house??!!

CRISS CROSS CHRISTMAS REINDEER CARD
Jolly good evening everybody! I've had a brilliant day today. My little girl has been out playing all day, and I finally got my teenage son out earning a wage! Which all means I have had a full day crafting. Result!
This is one of the cards I've made to enter in CHNC "let's get inky". I've used papers from Daisy and Dandelion which are lovely and glittery. layered on black card on a pearlescent white base card. I've used my little pompoms on the edges, and the inky part....for the reindeer and tag I've used Stampendous "Reindeer Swirls". Just a few black pearls to finish it off.
Off to shout for Spain now, although I should supporting the French as hubby has them in the sweep at work! Oh well.....

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HUBBY!
Happy memories of Jamaica! That's where me and hubby, Rich, got married 18 years ago today! So out came another stamp from Mo Manning. This one is called "Dante's Drum" and he was a joy to colour, using Promarkers of course.
I've used some heart print paper from Papermania Creative Tones in Ivory Black, simply layered on some matt gold card. I've added a length of gold and black ribbon and finished off with reggae gems!
I'm cooking tonight for a change ( I married a great cook!) so we're having chicken in reggae reggae sauce. Yum Yum for my tum! Washed down with a nice glass of red wine.

SOAKING UP THE JOY!
Another of my easel card + gift box + fridge magnet specialities! I'm really enjoing making these and they are proving very popular with my friends.
For this one I've used a Mo Manning stamp (been buying again!) called "Soaking up the joy", available from Dies to die for. Had lots of fun colouring her in with my Promarkers. She's such a cutie!
I've made the base easel card from white cardstock and layered up some papers from my stash on lime and pink card. The little box at the front of the card can hold a small gift, the lid is the fridge magnet! Clever!
I've kept the embellishments simple, just a few flowers from WOC and a butterfly charm from my stash.
I'm entering this one in the Dies to Die For challenge which this month is to use pink and green, and also Papertake Weekly Challenge "Bingo" (I chosen ribbon, blooms and a charm as my freebie!).
Best go pick up my kiddiwinks now....and it's not raining!

CHRISTMAS ANGEL SPREADING JOY!
I've been at the Nitwit papers again for this one....a little simple card compared to my last effort! I simply layered up some papers on a blue pearlescent base card, and added a matching angel sticker from the collection. Added a little sparkle of course!
I'll be entering this in Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge "things with wings".

A PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE CHRISTMAS CARD PLUS!
I am so pleased with myself today! I had to work this morning :-( but came home and was able to go straight in my craft room. The idea for this card came to me in a semi-conscious state at five o'clock this morning when I was very rudely awakened by our cat! Anyway, this is the result. I've made an easel card plus!
The plus being a little box / tray (the bit that holds the easel part up) which can be used for little gifts or tealights, and just to be a little bit extra clever, I made the "lid" using some magnetic sheet, so that can also be used as a fridge magnet! Can you see why I'm so happy?!
I made a base card from white cardstock, and layered up some christmas papers (sorry, can't remember where they are from) onto gold mirri card. The lettering and the partridge were cut on my Cricut. All finished off with a little gold Stickles and some gold pearls.
Hope you like it!

CHRISTMAS POLAR BEAR CARD
Just a quickie post for a quickie card. I've been on call today for work so not had much time to concentrate on anything! And guess what...they haven't called! Pah!
Anyway, got this little fellow done. Backing paper is from Dovecrafts "Winter Wonderland" , layered onto silver mirri and a white base card. I've tied round some white organza ribbon and added a few gems for that Christmas sparkle!
This is a last minute entry in CHNC "feature a creature".
Got to fly....kids won't pick themselves up from school!

SILHOUETTE REINDEER CHRISTMAS CARD
I've made a simple card today with a man in mind! I've layered some christmas paper from my stash onto gold mirri and black card, and wrapped this with two pieces of gold and black ribbon. The reindeer is cut on my Cricut. Finished off with a few flat-backed pearls. Simples! ;-) I'm entering this in CHNC "feature a creature"
I've had quite a good day in my little craft room today, got plenty done, so I'm a happy lady!
Off now to get everything ready for "Back to school" monday!

BIG SHOES! AT LAST....
My long awaited Mo Manning Card! I bought this digistamp a few weeks ago but have only just got round to using it. I LOVE HER! She so reminds me of my little girl! I wanted to do a bright card instead of the usual pastel girly pinks so I put her in bright red shoes to go with the paper I'd chosen from Raspberry Road Designs. Using a red base card, I've layered up the papers and image, coloured in with Promarkers.
The flowers are from my stash and heart shaped hatpins are from Krafty Hands. I've also used some red fabric heart trim from my stash. Sorry, I can't remember where the sentiment is from!
I'll be entering this in I Love Promarkers challenge "for a little girl" .

FOREVER FRIENDS CHRISTMAS CARD
A little slow in posting my blog this week! We had a very busy weekend and managed to enjoy all of it apart from the burst pipe episode! Nevermind...these things happen!
Anyway, this card is my entry this week in Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge "use purple". The papers are some freebie Nitwits which I've layered onto gold mirri card and applied to a pearlescent purple base card. The Forever Friends stamp is from The Glitter Pot coloured in with Promarkers with a little glitter added for Christmas sparkle! Finished off with some of my lovely pompom trim and some purple star gems.
I have more to post but I guess I'd better feed my kiddies first!

PS. Thanks to Chrissy for the tip...also entering this in the Christmas Crafting Challenge "Purple Christmas".
PPS. Also forgot to mention I was a teensie bit clever when I made this card. I have managed to make it with a secret pocket so the giver of the card can slip a little secret note (or even money) inside it! xx

CHRISTMAS HOLLY FAIRY AGAIN!
Had to get this little lovely out again to make a card for this weeks CHCC "Christmas foliage". I love her!
I've coloured her with promarkers and layered onto gold mirri card. The snowflake print paper is from my stash, and to finish the card off I've tied some purple organza ribbon in a simple knot, and then added some holly leaves and a diamante centred organza flower from WOC.
I hope you like it!

SPECIAL KISSES CHRISTMAS TENT CARD
My first attempt at a tent style card and I am over the moon with it! As with everything I do, it didn't quite go to plan and I had to adjust the "recipe"! But it's turned out quite fine!
I've used papers from Papermania "Henbury Lane" collection layered onto gold mirri card. I cut the circle aperture and the mistletoe on my Cricut machine (see....I do still love you Mr Cricut!)....added pearls as the berries, and finished off with a gingham bow, attached with a gold brad.
"Special Kisses" ....that'll be hubby's Christmas card made then!
Entering this one in CHCC Christmas Foliage.
Eurovision or football now? Can't decide!
