Nothing to show today as work gets in the way of play! But I have taken a look at the new Bella stamps at the Glitter Pot. Going to be spending again I think!

Friday 24 February 2012

Managed to survive my first full day on my own with our new puppy. Didn't think I'd be able to get much done but bless his little paws, he just slept by my feet.
Made a few toppers today but this is my favourite. New Sarah Kay stamp "Susie ponders" , from Dies to die for. The background paper is from Kate Knight "Spring fling", a freebie from Cardmaking & papercraft magazine. The heart shaped doily and flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
Have a great weekend

What a day! First day back to work after a few days off and it's been hectic!
So to brighten up the day, here's a topper I made using my favourite colour scheme. I love lilacs and blues as I think they work really well together. Sarah Kay stamp is Rose's Garden coloured in with Promarkers. The background is papers from Kaisercraft Magic Happens collection, flowers and hatpin from Wild Orchid Crafts and a little beaded lattice I found in my craft room. The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, distressed with Tim Holtz inks.

In the mood for hot air balloons! I treated myself to some new papers today, and they included this one from Kaisercraft "Up, Up and Away" collection. I've teamed it with some music sheet paper from Cuddly Buddly and inked all the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks to add to the vintage look. The hot air balloons are die cut on my Cricut, and layered with foam pads. Embellishments are all from my stash. The sentiment "Life is an adventure" is also from Cuddly Buddly.

My gorgeous "Milton with poppy". I made this topper a while ago and loved it so much I had to make it into a card for my favourite big sis!
The backing papers are from Daisy & Dandelion "A Winter's Tale" (proving Christmas papers can be used all year round!). Milton with poppy stamp by Wild Rose Studio is from The Glitter Pot. I've coloured him in with promarkers. A simple one to do but I think he's just lovely!
Embellishments include flourishes that I've cut on my ever-faithful Cricut, white Guipure lace entwined with cream ribbon, a wooden floral heart and metal corner from my craft box, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
A topper inspired by my daughter Poppi.

I've been dreaming about making this topper so thought I'd better get it done!
The booties are cut from pearlescent white card and embellished with cream and white ribbon lace, and cream flowers and bows.
For the background I have layered pearlescent cream card with gold mirri shadow, on a white 5" square doily and lovely dusky green dotty paper from NitWits Meadow collection, with cream card as the final layer.
Finished off with some heart-shaped pearls and sentiment "Precious", also from NitWits.
My first topper using a doliy....and I'm really pleased with it! xx

Good afternoon! Here's a cute baby topper I made at the weekend.
It is Sugar Nellie's "Vintage Baby" coloured with Promarkers. The background papers are from my stash, and I've used Tim Holtz inks to "age" the edges. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and my craft box!
Hope you like it. xx
