TREE OF LIFE CARD FOR A NEW FAMILY
I thought I'd share this card with you as it's so simple but has to be one of my favourites. I was busy showing off all my Christmas cards to an "old" friend (she's the other side of 70!) last week, when her daughter came to visit. She had a good look through them too....lots of sales, which is nice, but then she asked if I made anything for a new family , but for people who have adopted a child. I love making baby cards but this called for something a little different, as some of the children that are found a family can be as old as six years. So I got back home and did a little searching, and found this lovely stamp. It's from Broken Box Stock.com and here's the link "Tree of Life" digistamp.
I think it's lovely. It fits the bill perfectly! I've printed a bigger version off to frame and hang on my wall.
Hope you like it too.

ME AND MY DOGGY!
Mo Manning strikes again! I love colouring this stamp up, using my Promarkers of course! I used blues and creams to match the decorative border I wanted to use, which was a freebie off an ebay seller. I've layered up some papers from my stash and embellished simply, with a double bow and some flatback pearls.
I have to cook tonight ( a rare thing nowadays....thanks hubby!); baked Basa fillets with Philadelphia and grilled peppers, hubby doing crushed new potaoes to go with it. Hope it turns out ok!

Almost forgot....I'm entering this card in Mo's Digital Challenge "In the Doghouse" and Joanna Sheen Challenge "Animal Crackers".

TIS THE SEASON DIAMOND FOLD CHRISTMAS CARD
When I saw this weeks challenge on Crafty Hazelnut's Blog this morning, I knew excatly what I was going to make. And that is really not like me! I love diamond fold cards, so much room to decorate and embellish as much or as little as you like....and they are so easy to make.
I folded up the base card, and then layered up different papers from NitWits "Heavenly" collection on silver mirri card. I've wrapped various knotted ribbons around the two side panels before attaching them to the card. I attached the "Tis The Season" banner, from the same collection, with foam pads, and added some Stickles for a touch of sparkle. Job done!
I've been on a roll today, making a total of 11 cards and a few toppers to sell on ebay. I think I've been running on pure adrenaline....late night last night watching the opening ceremony for the Olympics. I managed to stay awake til about half way through "Hey Jude"! I thought the whole thing was magnificent! I'm fit to drop now though! Lol!
So this is my entry this week in CHNC challenge "Tie a Ribbon".
I've got lots of cards to share, including my first ever Magnolia Tilda...not a massive fan; I prefer Mo Manning Stamps, but I thought I'd have a go! When I feel brave enough, I show it!
Toodles for now.

SILENT NIGHT SCROLL CHRISTMAS CARD
Well, my working week is done! I've been made to give up my fridays off which means I now have my hours spread over five days instead of four, which is pants, but on the bright side I get to do the school run everyday, which is nice! Just not in the school hols! Nevermind. Had such a hectic day today, I had to make a card when I got home to stop me going mad!
So a quick little number today, using some lovely sparkly star print paper from Papermania "Henbury Lane Poinsettia" pack. I would be very grateful if anyone knows where I can get more of that...the A4 size, as I've been asked to make some more of the mistletoe tent cards, and I've run out of the paper I used :-(
Anyhoo....back to the card. The paper has been wrapped with red ribbon and a bow attached. The main feature is a printed scroll with a "Silent Night" verse on it. Then simply embellished with some flatback pearls.
This is a a last minute entry in CHNC challenge "Monochrome".
Hoping to have a big crafty weekend....with maybe a little gardening thrown in!

SPECIAL KISSES MO MANNING CARD
I do love this little girl! I've gone with a burgundy and cream colour scheme this time and made a gatefold card. Papers are from Raspberry Road which I've layered up inside and out on cream card. The image is Mo Manning's "Kisses" coloured in with Promarkers, and I've added some beautiful irridescent lace and pearls along the bottom. For the embellishments, I had a bit of luck just looking in some old drawers of beads....I found a dangly faux diamond ( which probably began it's life as an earring!) and some bead end caps which I didn't know I had, and added these to a heart hat pin. The heart was the wrong colour for my card, so I took a chance and coloured it with a burgundy Promarker...and it worked! I love the end result!
I finished the card off with some heart pearls from my stash to which I've added some sparkly gems!
I'm entering this in I Love Promarkers Challenge "Sparkle" and Mo's Digital Challenge "Hugs and Kisses".
Morning off with kiddies, them work for me later....at least I can enjoy the morning sunshine.

PRETTY PINK SNOWFLAKE CHRISTMAS CARD
What a glorious weekend we're having! I've had a good potter in the garden, tidied it up a bit, before card-making got the better off me!
I've made a tent card this week for CHNC "monochrome" challenge. I love making these because they are simple but very effective. The pinky papers are "Daisy & Dandelion" and I've cut and layered a snowflake on my Cricut. Embellished with my lovely pompoms and a few gems. Simples!
I think it may be wine O'clock now.

TWINKLE TWINKLE BIG GLISTENING STAR
Evening blogging world! Hope you've all had a good sunday. Mine has been a success. All washing done, dried and put away, bathroom cleaned to within an inch of it's life, lots of toppers made, happy happy kids out playing with their friends, and hubby out on his Harley. And the puppy has only bitten me once! Result!
And I've managed to find the time to make this stylish little number! I decided to make an all white card (had hoped to enter "Winter Wonderland" challenge but I'm too late!) and I'm really chuffed with it. I cut an oval aperture in some pearly white card and attached a layered star, cut on my Cricut. I've kept it quite simple with some embossing down each side, and embellished with white holly leaves and flat-backed pearls. I've applied some Stickles to the star and around the aperture, got to have a bit of sparkle for Christmas!
Hope you like it. Glass of red and a sit down for me now!
Hugs

SILHOUETTE SNOWMEN CHRISTMAS CARD
Something a little different from me this week. I do enjoy trying different things as you've probably guessed already!
This is my first attempt at inking over a silhouette (there is probably a technical term for that!). So I cut three snowmen in different sizes on my Cricut, cut a piece of card to resemble snow, and taped them all down onto a piece of white card. I then set to work with different coloured inks, very naughty of me but I used the ink pads directly, hence the lines, but I quite like the effect.
I then peeled off the snowman family and VOILA! I didn't know whetehr to stick the hat and acarf etc on, but decided it looked better with. And then just added some snowflakes and oraganza ribbon to finish.
I like it. Hope you do too!
My first entry this week in CHNC "snowman" challenge.
I'm off out for a meal now with my old boss and friends. All you can eat Chinese....I'm coming to get you!

CAT IN A CHRISTMAS TREE CHRISTMAS CARD
I've been very naughty this week. I've bought some more Mo Manning digistamps AND I've had a bit of a spree at Raspberry Road. Well, they did have 50% off!
So, back to the card. This is called "Cat in a Christmas Tree" and she does remind me of one of our cats when she was a kitten. Sadly she's no longer with us, but her sister is still here, and she'll be 17 next month!
I've used Promarkers to colour, and layered up some Papermania "Mistletoe Kisses" papers onto some matt gold card. All wrapped up with ribbon from Dovecraft.
This is a late entry in CHNC "festive funnies".
I have to work tomorrow but it will be my last saturday! HOORAH! No more saturday working for me!
Big Hugs and Keep Smiling

MO MANNING CARD JUSTIN'S ICE-CREAM
What a fab week I've had so far. We got to see The Olympic Torch on saturday, my little girl actually held it yesterday, which she thought was amazing! And the best of the week so far was seeing my little angel sing in our cathedral last night, kicking off the Lichfield Festival. I'm so proud!
Back to my card though. This is one I've made with another Mo Manning stamp "Justin's Ice-cream", very cute! Love that puppy!
I've coloured it in with Promarkers and simply layered it on red and blue papers on a white base card. The "FUN" banner was printed on my PC, and I've kept the embellishments simple, a wooden button tied with some red twine and a red heart hatpin (cut down), from Krafty Hands Online, to add a touch of love!
I'm entering this in Krafty Hands Challenge "red, white and blue".

JOY! SINGING NUNS CHRISTMAS CARD
I love this stamp! It's another one from Mo Manning and I think it's brilliant! I've coloured it in with my Promarkers and layered it onto some sparkly gold card, and then onto a church window shape. The base card is a strip of lovely shimmery paper from Papermania "A Silent Night", again layered on the gold card, and then onto a burgundy base.
Hope you like it!
I'm entering this in Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas Challenge "Festive Funnies" and I Love Promarkers Challenge 123 "anything goes"
