SEW SPECIAL CARD

An oh sew simple card!
For this, I've used the freebie stamps from a magazine and papers from my stash. The dress from was cut on my Cricut, and I've layered scraps of lace to make a skirt. A doddle of a card to make...once I'd got the stamps the right way up! lol
Entering this card in the following challenges:
Tsunami Rose Designs challenge #17 "colour challenge"
Rhedd and Rosies challenge "Stitching- real or faux"
Off to work now :-(

DOOR HANGER FOR MY LITTLE GIRL

Here's a little number I've made for a special little girl. It's for a fun challenge on the Stamping Dragon's facebook page. The image was a freebie from Marleen Michaelis Gallagher, the challenge, to make something with it by the 30th April. Simples.
I had no idea what I was going to do, then had a brainwave at work...a little door hanger for my angel!
I cut the base from music note printed card, coloured in the image with my Promarkers, then got to work embellishing. The piano is made from little rectangles, found the heart trim in my bits box, and then added a rose and a poppy, for my little Poppi-Rose! She loves it!
Going to have a little Saturated Canary colouring therapy now.

TIC TAC TOE CARD

This week's challenge at Tsunami Rose Designs is to use three elements from their "Tic Tac Toe" board. I chose "outline with pen"- the outline on the card base; "something distressed"- my three layered flowers with distresses edges; and "textured element"- my lovely concertina butterfly.
This is for a work colleague to give to her friend...hope she likes it!
Quickie post because it's tea-time for me now!

HANGING UP THE STOCKINGS CHRISTMAS CARD

Good evening everyone! Hope you've all had an enjoyable weekend. I am currently sitting in what was my bedroom, but now looks more like a bulldozer and his mates have been through it! Hubby has decided we NEED fitted wardrobes with sliding doors, which I've agreed to have only if the doors make the sound like on the Starship Enterprise when they open and close! Stuff everywhere! So I've been and hid in my craft room all day...
Today's card is made using another Saturated Canary stamp called "Stockings". I've coloured her in with Promarkers, lots of shading with my greys (wish I was better at taking photos!). I've used some bits of paper I found in my Christmas stash box layered onto Kraft card. The stocking was cut on my Cricut and I've used Twinklets Diamond Dust on it to add some Christmas sparkle. Simply embellished with some red buttons.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas challenge "red and green must be seen"
Passion for Promarker "button it up"
Winter Wonderland christmas blog challenge "Christmas Stockings"

VINTAGE LADY CARD

I was invited to join a mini challenge by Tina, to celebrate her blog's first birthday. Happy Birthday Touched by an Angel! So here's my creation. I've used a freebie image and papers from Stamping Dragon Designs who Tina designs for.
I've layered up the papers on Kraft card, added lace, buttons and some flowers. The image is coloured with Promarkers in a feeble attempt at sepia style :-)
I've called it a "card" but I might just hang it on my wall! Hope you like it.

SATURATED CANARY CHRISTMAS ANGEL CARD

Good morning! Thought I'd get a quick blog in before I go to work.
For this card I've used Saturated Canary Christmas Angel stamp by Krista Smith. I've kept the colouring quite subtle but went a little mad and decided to give her blue "Wild Ombre" style hair. I love it! I've added a little glitter to her wings and the baubles, and to the flowers surrounding the image.
I'm entering this in Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas Challenge "wonderful wings" and also Hazel's monthly challenge which can be found here.
Well, TGIF! I've made some Baileys cheescakes to take into work (should've done them for yesterday and almost got lynched when I turned up with nothing!). Anyhoo....time to get kiddiwinks up. And more coffee.

SOCCER NUT BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi everyone
Bit of a breezy day here but it's a good day to be drying clothes!
Today's card is one I made for my brother-in-law, completely football mad, and I found this perfect stamp for his card! It's from Bugaboo Stamps, and dead easy to colour in!
I've layered up the background with football papers and black and red card (he's a Man Utd fan), and drawn a football pitch on green card with my white pen. The corner flag is half a cocktail stick wrapped with red paper.
I'm entering this in The Here Come the Boys Blog Challenge which is to use this sketch:
It's been a busy week, three birthdays on one day! But all good fun!

PRETTY FLOWER FOR WONDERFUL YOU

Obviously this isn't my pretty flower card, that's below! But I thought I'd share a little picture of my tidy (ish) craft room and newly appointed Christmas wine cellar! I'm not an alcoholic (not through lack of trying!), but a few years ago, I started spreading the cost of Christmas booze; buy the stuff on sale throughout the year, then spend less at Christmas! It does as emergency presents too! But I have to hide it away otherwise hubby would drink the lot lol.
Anyway, my card:

I've followed the sketch from Fusion Card Challenge for this card. I love their new blog! Here's the sketch and colour scheme for challenge 2:
I haven't "fused" because I wanted this card to be for my lovely sister-in-law, one of three birthdays I have to make cards for on Tuesday, and Sharon is all deep reds and flowers so I think this will do just perfick!
I've used some freebie papers from a magazine on a cream base card. The flower is one I've cut and layered up, finished off with a pearl flower centre. The sentiment came free with the mag too!
So this is my entry in challenge two....I will endeavour to enter every one because it's such a fab idea!

TATTY FLOWER BIRTHDAY CARD

I'm on a roll today! The hand is so much better so I've managed to get some crafting done! Yay!
I've made this card with a new-2-me challenge in mind. Doing a bit of blog-hopping the other week, I found this blog "Touched by an Angel". Imagine my surprise when I realised it was written by a lady who I know who lives just down the road from my Mum! I had no idea she was a fellow crafter; her work is AMAZING! Anyway, she led me to this blog "Tsunami Rose Designs" for which she is a guest designer at the mo! New blog found....new challenge! The challenge this week is a sketch, thus...
I've used papers called "Chic and Shabby" from Dotted Daisy, and Kraft card. The flower is a little layered effort I made; cut four different sizes on my Cricut and sanded the edges, finished off with a pearl flower. It's the first one I've done like this and I'm really chuffed with it. Hope you like it too!
Off now to enter this in the challenge, and then it's wine o'clock! I've had a good tidy up in my craft room today and managed to "find" my desk again! Just got my daughter's part of the room to do tomorrow.

POLKA DOT PINKY NIKKI CHRISTMAS CARD

Well, what a week and a half I've had! Crafting has been seriously hampered because I had a little run in with our dog last week, and I lost! Badly bruised hand but the hound still lives. He is going to lose parts of his anatomy soon, maybe he suspects.....! lol
So I've had to keep my card simple this week. I've managed to colour in the beautiful "Nikki" from Saturated Canary, using my Promarkers. I have to say, it's not my best colouring job but I am injured! lol!. I've layered up some polka dot papers from Wild Rose Studio and edged each piece with Promarker "Henna". The embellishments are simple gem-centred snowflakes (no flowers this week because I couldn't grip the wire cutters to cut the stems off!).....is anyone feeling sorry for me yet?! lol
And that's it!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Saturated Canary Challenge #41 "Anything Goes"
Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas Challenge #119 "Use the word Christmas" (and the monthly challenge!)
Winter Wonderland Christmas Challenge "Lots of Spots"
