TIS THE SEASON AT CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS

Hi everyone.
I'm sat here slowly recovering from man-flu but at least I'll (hopefully) be germ free over Christmas now!
My card today is for CFAS where the theme for the next fortnight is "Tis the Season". Our sponsor for this challenge is Inky Impressions

I have used one of their Christmas sentiment stamps to make this CAS card. I wasn't really feeling well enough to make anything fussy. But I like this simple but effective technique of cutting diagonals across a measured square in the centre of the paper, and folding the triangular shapes back to reveal a window. Easy!
Now it's over to you....Tis the Season!

ANYTHING GOES AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hello blogland!
Yes, it's everyone's favourite "ANYTHING GOES" challenge at The Crafter's Cafe this week and our sponsor is the fabulous Lacy Sunshine.
I have used Heather's cute little Melanie Boo "The Christmas Star". I have coloured her in with Copics and Polychromo pencils. The background is paper and sentiment are from Michele R Designs and I've upcycled some white raffia which I saved from a present given to me for my birthday. The flowers and pearls are from my stash.
Hope you like it and will come and play along!
Hugs

KARLEIGH SUE NEW RELEASE DAY

Hi everyone.
It's time for the new releases from Karleigh Sue Digis. I have used "Ice Skating" coloured in with Promarkers. The papers used were very kindly donated to me by the lovely Tina, who was lucky enough to go to the craft fair at the NEC last week (I had to work) and these were part of her huge haul! I have used the snowflake edge die from "Crafts Too" and flowers from my stash. Ooh, and in that flower arrangement, there is a frosted cone. I have lots of countryside at the back of my house, where loads of Alder trees grow...that's where these little cones come from. So my little tip for today is how to frost them. I read on the interweb ages ago that you were supposed to bleach the cones to kill off any bugs. I didn't much like the idea of that, so I baked mine in a hot oven for twenty minutes; there's not much that can survive that! And they smelt lovely! I frosted them by dabbing them with watered down pva glue, and dunking them in Epsom Salts. I love them!
Please pop over to the Etsy store and have a nosey at the new releases!
Hugs

PS. Details of card:
Image used is Alf Fishing from DigiStamp Boutique, coloured in with Promarkers. I've made a simple layered background using papers from  my stash. The embellishment is what I am most proud of....I made a litle "fish hook" from craft  and attached this to the card together with a little fish charm and a feather.

TIME TO GIVE THANKS AT THE CRAFTERS CAFE

Hi everyone.
I'm here today with my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe where the theme this week is "Thank you".
Our sponsors for this challenge are Dr Digis and Creative Bug.

I chose to use their "Heart Bouquet" stamp from Creative Bug. I've coloured most of it in with neutral colours as I wanted the red heart to stand out. The sentiment stamp is from my stash.
Hope you like it and you'll come and play along with us; say "Thank you" to someone who deserves it!
Hugs
