LOTS OF LAYERS AT CFAS

Good morning all!
Here's my DT card for Crafting for all Seasons where the challenge is "Lots of Layers".
I have used an image from Saturated Canary called Pixie Nerd . Isn't she just ACE!!!!
I've coloured her in with Promarkers, trying desperately hard to follow Alyce's colour-along on Kit and Clowder....didn't do too bad this time! I've got the colours noted down somewhere...will add them on here when I can!
The background paper is from my stash, layered up with some pink card. I've made a layered flower using a die on my Big Shot, and a little layered book cut on my Cricut. The sentiment reads:
"Dude, pixie dust is for amateurs. I read books. That is where the magic is"! I love it!!
For this challenge, which runs for the next fortnight, our sponsor is:
http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/
Now it's over to you....get layerin' up and show us your makes!

GLITTERY FLUTTERBIES

Good morning everyone.
It's all about the "GLITTER" at The Crafter's Cafe this week. Love it or hate it, you must use it to enter this challenge! Is glitter the "Marmite" of the card-making world? I think so....my little girl loves to use it....I hate having to clear up after her! lol :-)
Anyways....back to my card. I have used an image called ""Kaualani"" from Rick St Dennis, our sponsor this week.
She is coloured in with Promarkers. RSD images are FAB to colour because Rick adds some shading for you....easy as pie! I've used another freebie backing paper, layered onto gold mirri card, with a strip of heavy glitter gold card. I've added a butterfly cut from the same glittery card, and some flowers from my stash. For an extra bit of sparkle, I've touched up the flowers and the image with gold Stickles.
I've made this card for my sister-in-law, celebrating her BIG 5-0! And she really is fabulous!
Now it's over to you...."ADD SOME GLITTER" and play along at The Crafter's Cafe!

DAISY DOODLES

Hi everyone. Happy Easter Monday!
It's gorgeous here right now; sun is shining, kids are playing, husband is gardening, and I'm crafting! Perfect!
For today's card I have used "Emily Spring Ladybugs" from Lacy Sunshine, coloured in with Promarkers. In my ongoing "I WILL have a tidy craft room" phase, I've found this daisy print paper which I've layered up on Kraft card. I've used a piece of jute (I really, really LURVE this stuff!) and had a rummage in my flower drawer to find a daisy. I've added a couple of little wooden ladybirds to finish the card off.
Thanks for stopping by today.
I'm off to visit my best friend now as it's her little MollieMoo's birthday! Then a bit more colouring....entering week two of my lessons...HAIR! And I DO need lessons!

TUBBY LOVE

Hello everyone.
Third post today but not a Christmas card! I've used another Lact Sunshine image for this card; she's called ""Penelope Pansy"  from the Flowerpot Pretties range. I've coloured her in with Promarkers and made a simple card base using the "Anja Edge" die from Mariane Designs. The sentiment stamp I think fits perfectly!
I think that's all from me today....that craft room isn't ging to tidy itself!

DREAMING OF A BLUE CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone.
Second Christmas card for today. For this one, I've used an image called "Flurry" from Lacy Sunshine. I've gone all out with the blues on this one, colouring just the girl in the image as I wanted her to stand out. I've used my microbeads to cover the whole image to make it sparkle! The background is made up of bits and dabs  I found in my Christmas craft box.

DREAMING OF A PINK CHRISTMAS

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well.
I've had a bit of a card making frenzy today, mainly because I kind of made a promise to myself last night to tidy up my craft room, and making cards with my little girl was a far nicer option! So, while she's been busy painting marble-effect eggs, and cutting out Easter bunnies, I've been making Christmas cards!
Here's my first one, using "Wryn goes Caroling" from Tiddly Inks. I've coloured her in with Promarkers, made a simple background of some musical note print paper , with some ribbon and trim from my stash and added a die-cut poinsettia. Ooh, and I used a little "Shabby Pink" Frantage around the image as "snow".
Next card coming up....another cup of coffee first!

RIBBONS AND LACE WITH CFAS

Good morning everyone!
I'm here, a little late, with my DT make for  Crafting for all Seasons where the theme for the next fortnight is "Ribbons and Lace". Our sponsor for this challenge is Limited Runs Stamps.
I have used "Hummingbird" for my card, coloured in with Promarkers. The backing paper is another freebie and everything else is from my stash. I'd forgotten I had this gorgeous lace, I don't think the photo does it justice; it's got an irridescence which the camara doesn't quite pick up!
Now it's over to you, grab your ribbons and lace (we all have some somewhere!) and get crafting!

SNOWBALL FIGHT

Hi everyone.
Yay for me! Another Christmas card made! Only 259 days til that special day! He he he!
I have used a digi called "Winter Phillip" from Pink Gem Designs, coloured in with Promarkers.
The background is some gorgeous brown card embossed with gold snowflakes, kindly donated to me by my big sis. I've cut a strip of corrogated brown card, wrapped round some of my snow-bobbly trim and snowflake ribbon, and attached this to the card. I have also attached some twine threaded through MDF snowflakes, so they can move up and down.
Hope you like it!

GETTING INTO THE SPRING OF THINGS

Good morning everyone!
I'm here today with my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe, where the theme this week is simply "SPRING".
We have two sponsors for this challenge:
http://www.doctor-digi.com/

and
http://www.inkyimpressionsrubberstamps.com/

I got to use Cuddly Critters Rabbit from Dr Digi's House of Stamps. I've coloured this cute bunny in with Promarkers (there is a ready-coloured version available) and stuck the image on a simple background made up of paper from a pack from Lidl, on mirri card, set on a Kraft base card. This "triangle" sketch is dead easy to do; simply measure out your square base layer, in this case that is the mirri card, then cut a smaller square of patterned paper (roughly half a centimetre smaller) and cut this in half twice across the diagonals, to give you four triangular pieces. Then stick these onto the base layer leaving a small gap as shown. Sorry my measurements aren't exact; I tend to do it by eye (I'm naughty like that!).
I've used lots of Spring-time flowers from my stash, I do love daffs!
Now it's over to you. Think SPRING!

COLOUR ME HAPPY

Hello fellow bloggers! Something a little different from me today. I've had a good old craft this afternoon, and turned an old tissue box into my "Portable Pen Holder"!
From this (well sort of; I forgot to take a pic before I started!):
to this:
The tissue box was donated to me by my neighbour, she thought I might cut out the flowers and leaves to use, but I thought I make this instead! I covered it with some paper from my stash (I have done the top aswell!) and added some heart ribbon that I bought from Lidl of all places! Thinking about it, I think the paper was from there too! I added a strip of burlap, then attached my coloured image. This one is from Saturated Canary (LOVE LOVE LOVE Krista's work). She's called "Copica" but as I use Promarkers, I've coloured the pens to look like THEM! (Can I call her "Promarka"?!! lol)
I have printed out the words on my PC, distressed the edges and used some Distress Ink to colour them up a little. The flowers were a GIT to cut but here's how I did it...I used a piece of the burlap stuck to some double sided "sticky" film and cut them with a die using my Big Shot. It was a little difficult to say the least (someone PLEASE tell me there's an easier way?!). I think the burlap proved a bit too strong to cut but I got there in the end. I added some buttons as the flower centres, and glued some little wooden pegs around the top; I'm thinking I can maybe clip some colour combos  to them?!
Oooh...and the whole thing (excluding ribbon and burlap) has been given a coat of Mod Podge!
It holds about 12 pens, which is usually enough for me to colour an image, and it saves me carting around over 100 pens wherever I chose to colour! :-)
Hope you like it. I'm going to try and stay awake tonight for Alyce's "Live Colour Along" over at Kit and Clowder . Not holding out much hope though, as it doesn't start til 11.00pm! We shall see!
Big hugs from me!

SPRING INTO THE DRAGON'S LAIR

Good morning bloggers!
Here is my DT make for Stamping with the Dragon .
Our theme for the next fortnight is "Springtime".
I have used the "Understated Elegance" kit available in store!
I started with an A4 piece of card which I scored into thirds, then cut on the diagonal from top left-hand corner to about 8cm up from the right-hand corner. Then the card is folded back on the first scoreline and forward on the second scoreline, which gives the basic shape. I then used the cut-off piece of card to make pockets as shown. The card is covered in papers from the kit, and I printed off three matching tags, adding a sentiment to one of them on my PC. I finished the card off with some butterfly punchies to which I added some pearls.
There's lots of gorgeousness to browse through in the Stamping Dragon shop! And the winning project will receive a £5 voucher to spend in store!
Hugs

DIE CUTS & PUNCHES WITH CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS

Good morning blogland!
Hope you are all well. My card today is for Crafting for all Seasons where the challenge for the next fortnight is "Dies cuts and punches".
Our sponsor for this challenge is:
http://thepapershelter.com/

"If you are looking for fun, cute and lovely digi stamps for your paper-crafting or web design projects, The Paper Shelter is your one-stop boutique! This growing catalog of high-quality digi stamps with many different kind of options offers a multitude of themes such as everyday items, holidays, special occasions, children, adorable characters and creatures. Stamps are available in standard black and white line art, as well as in pre-colored format. Images are wonderful for coloring and make perfect additions to greeting cards and scrapbook albums. In "The Paper Shelter" you'll also find great other resources for all crafts (or digital) projects, like Paper Packs, Printables, Accesory sheet, etc."

I have used "The Best Nap Ever" from The Paper Shelter. This stamp comes as a digi, uncoloured and coloured; I have been a little pushed for time this week so I've used the coloured version, but added some red Promarker to the hat, as I wanted to make a Christmas card (my FIRST one this year).
I've used a scallop circle die to cut the image out and stuck it onto a background of snowflake-embossed card, wrapped in twine. I added the little "twas the night before Christmas" wording on my PC and some little snowflake punchies to which I've added tiny gems.
Hope you like it. Over to you lovely lot now....dig out those dies and punches and show us what ya got!
Big Hugs
