MADE FOR EACHOTHER

Hi again. What a difference a few hours makes....I am now full of cold! Boo hoo me :-(
Hot toddy and early night for me, me thinks.
It's challenge number 30 over at The Crafter's Cafe and the theme this week is "Die cuts and punches". I've used both!
The image is "Made for eachother" from Dr Digi's House of stamps, who is our sponsor this week.
I've coloured it in with Promarkers and used a die cut frame from Spellbinders called "Fancy Ribbon Threader" to layer it onto. I've used a piece of greeny paper from my stash on a purple base card, and simply embellished with some heart punchies. The sentiment was done on my PC.
I've given this card to my Mum and Dad who celebrated 53 years of marriage yesterday. They loved it!
So get your die-cutters and punches out and show us what you can do!
Just remembered I have to wrap hubby's birthday presents for tomorrow....and THEN i can relax with my hot toddy Lemsip mix, and try and sleep!

MOTORBIKES AND DOGS RULE!

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well. Today's card is very special....it's for my hubby! This is my DT make for Rhedd and Rosies where the challenge for the next two weeks is "Something for the men". This had to be quite a simple card as hubby likes things that way.
I've used a freebie digi from Birds cards keeping colouring to a minimum, I've just coloured in the tank and applied some Glossy Accents. This has been layered onto some silver mirri card. The "tyre tread" paper and the sentiment are also from Birds cards (and free) so all in all, a very cheap card to make! And I adore the sentiment, it's so true!
So come on! Join in the fun, and show us your makes for the guys!
Our very own Rosie is the sponsor this week, and here is the prize up for grabs:

SPARKLING CHRISTMAS WREATH CARD

Good evening everyone. Just sat down with a rather nice glass of red....and may I say I bloomin' well deserve it! Had a very busy day at work, in fact, the whole week has been busy, but we've had fun too!
I've just about got enough time to enter Crafty Hazelnuts challenge with this card.
I've cut the wreath and it's layers, on my Cricut, using silver mirri card and parchment paper. I've added a few sparkly gems, and attached the wreath to a black base card. The card has been embossed (not sure whether you can see that in the photo) and a simple peel off sentiment added.
That's it from me....going to sit and sink myself into 80's night on channel four. I'm an 80's girl!!!

SNIPPETY CHRISTMAS CARD

Happy soggy evening! It's raining cats and dogs here, but I don't mind....it's friday and the weekend starts now!
Today's card is made up of bits and bobs I found on my desk. A left over piece of black dotty paper onto which I've layered a piece of gold dotty ribbon. And topped off with a double layered snowflake, which I've edged with gold Stickles. With a simple Happy Christmas peel-off to finish. Now this card is telling me, one, it is good to use up your scraps, and two, I REALLY need to tidy my desk!!!
I do love the end result though!
Happy weekend everyone!
Hugs

CRAFTER'S CAFE NO DP!

Well hellooooo again! Second card of the day...this one is my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe blog challenge. The theme this week is NO DESIGNER PAPERS. Now, I have to be perfectly honest here, and say that the idea filled me with dread! I LOVE my papers, and thought I would struggle making a card without them. But then I saw the vast array of images we had to choose from and the card was a doddle!
Our sponsor is Fred-She-Said, and they have LOADS of gorgeousness on offer (even some freebies!), and the best thing is, if you're in a rush or you don't fancy colouring yourself, there are pre-coloured digis too. How easy can it be!
I used the "Marigolds and Morpho" digi set, uncoloured, because I wouldn't want to upset my Promarkers. I used Burnt Orange, Honeycomb and Tulip Yellow on the flowers, and Midnight Blue, China Blue, Azure and Cool Aqua on the butterfly. Quick bit of matting and layering, and silver twine and pearls on the corners, and Voila! Job done....and I quite like it!
Hope you do too!
Please come and join us at The Crafter's Cafe challenge. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

STEAMPUNKING WITH RICK ST DENNIS

Top o' the mornin' to you all! Hope you are all well. Today's card is my first attempt at Steam punk....that's the theme of the current challenge at Rhedd and Rosies. We had the choice of a few images to use from Rick St Dennis and I chose this rather dashing gent! he's called Captain McSteeme. I coloured him in with Promarkers and layered up some papers from Stamping Dragon Designs called Simply Steampunk.
I pinched some lovely wooden cogs from my fellow DT member, Tina, she is an angel! She also, very kindly, lent me some Metallic Gilding Wax and dusting powder which I've applied to the cogs to make them look metallic. The tags are some on my ever increasing "bits box"!
Hope you like it! Please come and join in our SteamPunk fun! Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St Dennis....the winner will receive three digis of their choice.
