HAPPY NEW NEW YEAR AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Good morning blogland!
I hope you're Christmas has been a happy one!
I'm here today with my DT card for The Crafter's Cafe where the first theme for 2015 is NEW! I have made a new baby card using an image called "Cutie 11" from Fitztown digistamps, our sponsor for this challenge. The background paper is another magazine freebie, and I've used some twine and a little teddy charm to finish the card off.
Now it's over to you. Anything with a "NEW" theme!

ANIMALS FRIENDS AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hello bloggers!
It's time for a new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe and our theme this week is "Animal Friends". Our sponsor for this challenge is Squigglefly and I have used their digi called "Skating Penguin". So cute!
I have coloured him in with Copics and added Twinklets Diamond Dust as snow. I've made a simple layered background and finished the card off with a "Joyful Wishes" tag.
Now it's over to you. Any card will do as long as it features an animal.

PS. I think this may be my last post before Christmas so may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year xxx

KARLEIGH SUE NEW RELEASE DAY

Hi everyone.
It's time for the new releases from Karleigh Sue Digis. I have used "Heels, pearls and chocolates" coloured in with Copics. I have layered up some heart print vellum onto white and red card and used a pearl heart slider on heart print ribbon. Finished off with a few flowers and lettering. Keeping it simple for the hubster!

ANYTHING CHRISTMAS BUT A CARD AT CFAS

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well into the Christmas festivities! We've not got our tree up yet because I like to treat us to a real one (you can't beat the smell!) and I don't want it to die before the big day. Lights are on the house though and the odd homemade thing or two are dotted around the house....I LOVE IT!
I'm here today with my DT make for Crafting for all Seasons where we're having a month long challenge (so us ladies can have a little break) with some fabulous sponsors! The challenge is to make anything Christmassy EXCEPT cards so it's a big chance to show off all your lovingly made Christmas goodies!
I have made a little canvas using one of my favourite images, "Rory Christmas Presents" , from Lacy Sunshine. I've coloured her in with Copics (mainly B97,95,93 and 91 and E35,33 and 31). I've used some snowflake paper (I think from Dovecraft's Winter Wonderland) and added Twinklets Diamond Dust all around the edge and for falling snow. The "Happy Christmas" die was a freebie with a magazine and I've finished the canvas off with some die-cut holly leaves and red flat-backed pearls.
Hope you like it! (Hubby says this looks much better in real life because it's hard to catch the "twinkling snow" in a photo!) Bless him!
Now it's over to you.....anything Christmas BUT a card. You could win one of many fab prizes from our great sponsors:
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

Good Luck everyone!
And a very Merry Christmas to you all! Enjoy!

USE A DOILY AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hello bloggers!
It's time for a new challenge at The Crafter's Cafe and this week are are asking you "to use a doliy". Our sponsor for this challenge is A Day for Daisies and I have used their beautiful digi called "Pearls in her Hair". Isn't she stunning?!
I have coloured her in with Copics and cut her out with a scalloped circle die. The background paper is another magazine freebie (possibly by Raspberry Road) and I've layered this up on a piece of card which I coloured with Copics because I couldn't find a perfect match in my stash! I've used a square doily and some flowers from my stash to embellish.
Now it's over to you. "Use a doily" and enter our challenge!

TIS THE SEASON AT CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS

Hi everyone.
I'm sat here slowly recovering from man-flu but at least I'll (hopefully) be germ free over Christmas now!
My card today is for CFAS where the theme for the next fortnight is "Tis the Season". Our sponsor for this challenge is Inky Impressions

I have used one of their Christmas sentiment stamps to make this CAS card. I wasn't really feeling well enough to make anything fussy. But I like this simple but effective technique of cutting diagonals across a measured square in the centre of the paper, and folding the triangular shapes back to reveal a window. Easy!
Now it's over to you....Tis the Season!

ANYTHING GOES AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hello blogland!
Yes, it's everyone's favourite "ANYTHING GOES" challenge at The Crafter's Cafe this week and our sponsor is the fabulous Lacy Sunshine.
I have used Heather's cute little Melanie Boo "The Christmas Star". I have coloured her in with Copics and Polychromo pencils. The background is paper and sentiment are from Michele R Designs and I've upcycled some white raffia which I saved from a present given to me for my birthday. The flowers and pearls are from my stash.
Hope you like it and will come and play along!

KARLEIGH SUE NEW RELEASE DAY

Hi everyone.
It's time for the new releases from Karleigh Sue Digis. I have used "Ice Skating" coloured in with Promarkers. The papers used were very kindly donated to me by the lovely Tina, who was lucky enough to go to the craft fair at the NEC last week (I had to work) and these were part of her huge haul! I have used the snowflake edge die from "Crafts Too" and flowers from my stash. Ooh, and in that flower arrangement, there is a frosted cone. I have lots of countryside at the back of my house, where loads of Alder trees grow...that's where these little cones come from. So my little tip for today is how to frost them. I read on the interweb ages ago that you were supposed to bleach the cones to kill off any bugs. I didn't much like the idea of that, so I baked mine in a hot oven for twenty minutes; there's not much that can survive that! And they smelt lovely! I frosted them by dabbing them with watered down pva glue, and dunking them in Epsom Salts. I love them!
Please pop over to the Etsy store and have a nosey at the new releases!

Hello Blogland!
Quick post - will update later!
We are asking you to show us your birthday makes over at Crafting for all Seasons. You have two weeks to enter our challenge. Ooh...and our sponsor is Limited Runs!
I will be back with more details later.
Fiona x
PS. Details of card:
Image used is Alf Fishing from DigiStamp Boutique, coloured in with Promarkers. I've made a simple layered background using papers from  my stash. The embellishment is what I am most proud of....I made a litle "fish hook" from craft  and attached this to the card together with a little fish charm and a feather.

TIME TO GIVE THANKS AT THE CRAFTERS CAFE

Hi everyone.
I'm here today with my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe where the theme this week is "Thank you".
Our sponsors for this challenge are Dr Digis and Creative Bug.

I chose to use their "Heart Bouquet" stamp from Creative Bug. I've coloured most of it in with neutral colours as I wanted the red heart to stand out. The sentiment stamp is from my stash.
Hope you like it and you'll come and play along with us; say "Thank you" to someone who deserves it!

TAG IT AT CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS

Good morning everyone.
It's a new challenge over at Crafting for all Seasons where the theme for the next fortnight is "TAG IT"!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Stamps
We are challenging you to make a tag or have a tag as a focal point on your creation.
I had my bestest friend in mind when I chose my image.....can you tell?! I have coloured it in with Copics and made a simple tag from black card, a scrap of (Christmas) paper, and added a heart slider on blue ribbon and the actual "hangy" bit is a bracelet I made about 30 years ago!! I've been a little naughty and already given it to my pal and she loves it!
Now it's over to you...TAG IT!

SPOOKY TIMES AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hi everyone.
I'm here today with my DT card for The Crafter's Cafe where the challenge this week is "SPOOKABLE"!!!! MUHAHAHAHAW!
Our sponsor is the one and only Delicious Doodles! I LOVE these images!!! I chose to use "Angel of Death", you may think a strange choice for a greetings card, however, I have a friend that will love this card!!
Very quick and easy card to make; the image needs no work. I have used papers from Michele R Designs "Shabby Purple" collection to layer up a background on a Kraft base card.
Now it's over to you. Get your spookies on!!!

SATURATED CANARY KIT AND GDT CALL

Hi everyone.
Just a tad excited because Saturated Canary have a GDT call out at the mo! I know I'm not good enough to win (yet!) but if you don't give it a go, you'll never know, right?!
I have gone back to what I know best and coloured "Kit" in with a range of drawing pencils, adding a touch of red to her lips.
I have die-cut the image and used Shabby Pink Frantage around it. The base card is cut using X-cut extra large dies, and the background paper is from my stash. I have used various die-cuts, aged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Antique Linen" and added a little wooden heart to finish the card off.
Hope you like it.

The lettering is from my stash.

TOO CUTE TO SPOOK AT CFAS

Good morning everyone!
I've had a very odd week, a mixture of too much sleep then not enough. I have still not forgiven myself for not waking up until 1.45pm on Saturday; most unlike me! I'm usually up and raring to get crafty on my days off....I guess work took it's toll on me!
Anyhoo....onto today's card. This is my DT make for Crafting for all Seasons where the theme for the next fortnight is "Too Cute to Spook". Our sponsor is
I have used "New Hat" by Stitchy Stamps, which I've coloured in with Copics. I used some freebie paper from Electric Paper Designs, which, unfortunately, didn't print out properly, but hey-ho! I think a new printer is on the cards for me.
Now it's over to you! Show us your SPOOKY!

SHADES OF AUTUMN AT CFAS

Good morning everyone!
We're going all Autumnal over at Crafting For All Seasons for the next fortnight. I have to say, if I was pushed to choose a favourite season, it would be Autumn. I think we are so lucky in the UK to have our changing seasons; I love each one for different reasons, but Autumn, for me, is the best. I love the changing colours of the leaves on the trees and I love the snuggly nights in and foggy, misty mornings.
Ok, turn off poetic mode; turn on card mode! We are sponsored by Limited Runs for this challenge

and I have used their little bird house. I've made a simple card using a snippet of pretty paper and some skeleton leaves, and a beautiful sentiment stamp (I'll try and remember where that's from!).
So that's it from me....get your snuggly onesie and warm socks on and go Autumnal!

WHEELS AND COGS AT CFAS

Good morning blogland!
I would love to tell you I'm in a really happy place but as I write (the night before this goes live), I am sad....not proper sad but sad enough. It's back to the norm tomorrow. Kiddies back to school and back to work for me. I've had just over two weeks off with them and it feels like forever. Loved every second. Lots of crafting; lots of baking; lots of watching Frozen ( had not seen it before!); and lots of lazing around just giggling and doing nothing much.
Oh well.....we can do it all again after 3.00pm today! Yay!
Onto my card...my DT make for Crafting for all Seasons where the theme for the next fortnight is "Wheels and/or cogs". We are sponsored by the fabulous Kenny K from where this glorious "Devillish Donna" inage comes. I have coloured her in with Copics; had a bit of a play with the hair but quite like it! The rest of the card is made up from little bits and bobs from my craft room. Having a jolly good clearout because I have far too much stuff that will have a happier home elsewhere!
So now it's over to you, "wheels and cogs"....wheely easy!

VICTORIAN OCTAVIA MOPPET

Hi everyone. I thought I'd sneak another post in while I can. Trying a little glass painting this afternoon. Quite pleased with it so far....just waiting for my outlines to dry!
For this card I have used a Lacy Sunshine image, called "Victorian Octavia Moppet" coloured in with Promarkers. For the background, I have used papers from Papermania Olivine Essence pack. I added flowers and a cameo from my stash, and the Penny Farthing was cut on my Cricut machine (Heritage cartridge).

HOWDEE DOODEE AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well.
First off I would like to apologise for my wonky photo. There is a reason....I will try and keep this short but please READ! Moral of story ahead....make sure you back-up your computer! I thought I had; I thought I had all my digistamps and papers safely on discs. But when your PC dies and you find out your back-up discs don't work....what do you do?! Well, you have a rant on Facebook of course. Then you try not to cry, even when your husband says "you're not too upset, are you?". But, as a good friend of mine once told me, everything happens for a reason. I now have a new laptop (thanks big bro!), and have all my digis, photos etc back; VERY BIG THANKS to my friend John, who managed to work his magic on the discs. And I have learned how to use Google Drive to keep all my stuff safely tucked away. I have only just managed to figure out how to download photos from my camera though.....and I've not found the "how to edit" bit yet...hence, wonky photo!
Anyway, waffle over! Today's card is my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe where the theme this week is "Use die-cuts and / or punchies".
The image I have used is called "Sheriff Bobby" and he's from our sponsor this week:
https://www.etsy.com/people/MilkCoffee?ref=si_pr
I have used Promarkers to colour him in, and die-cut the image; also used some die stars and bunting. Hope you like!
Now it's over to you. Die-cuts and punchies...easy!
Hugs

ANYTHING BUT A CARD AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hi everyone!
Hope you're all feeling fine and dandy. I'm here today with my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe where the theme this week is "Anything but a Card".
Our sponsor is "The Paper Shelter" and I chose to use a pre-coloured image (cheating!) called "Learning is fun".
I have altered an empty food can to make a pen and pencil holder for my little girl. I have used paper, also from The Paper Shelter, to cover the tin (using Mod Podge) and added some organza ribbon to the top and bottom. I stuck on my fussy cut image and let my little Pops pick some flowers from my stash to finish it off. She loves it!
Now it's over to you.....anything but a card.
Hugs
