CHRISTMAS CANDLES

I can't believe how quick this week has gone! I printed and coloured this image in last sunday and it's taken me until today to make it up into a card!! I am completely rubbish at handling my time! Anyhooo...the image is from Daisy Doodles (lots of freebies to be had there!) coloured in with Promarkers, and layered onto silver mirri card. I've wrapped a pink base card with a piece of ribbon I found in my overflowing ribbon box!
And that's it. Made in honour of my friend Deb who has just started making candles (when I can find her link, I will add it) and they are fab!!
I'm entering this in CHNC challenge "Use 3 of something" and also in her monthly challenge which can be found here.
Off to play bowling with the kiddiwinks now, then a big nosh up at Frankie and Benny's.

READ ALL ABOUT IT....

I absolutely loved every minute of making this card. So much of ME went into it.
The idea came about from the latest challenge from Saturated Canary, "Read All About It...".
I just had to make a card based on my favourite book (and I believe the BEST book ever written!), "To Kill A MockingBird". I have read it many times and I will make sure my kiddiwinks read it too. It makes me laugh and cry everytime I read it, and one of my favourite quotes from it is the standard I live by...."Never judge a man until you have walked in his shoes".
So....the card! I'm still in "using my stash" mode, so the paper is a piece I printed off ages ago (probably from Raspberry Road?!) layered onto Kraft card, with a diecut birdcage and little birdie, and I picked a Saturated Canary image which I thought was most like little Scout from the book, called "Hand-Me-Downs". Coloured in with my Promarkers. Finished off with brown and blue flowers, including poppies and roses (sentimental me, my daughter is called Poppi-Rose!) and some blue lace. And to be extra "bookworthy", I've made a matching bookmark which slides in and out of the top of the card. Clever huh?! lol
So there is my own little masterpiece!
Entering this in Saturated Canary Challenge "Read All About It".
Hugs and Happy Snowy Sunday!

MOTHERS DAY CARD FOR MY LOVELY MUM

Really quick post from me today because I'm about to fill my face with a lovely lamb dinner cooked by my hubby with a little help from the kiddiwinks!
I've cut "MUM" letters on my Cricut, layered 'em up and stuck them on a floral background wrapped in ribbon.
I'm entering this in Freshly Made Sketches challenge #76 and here's the sketch:
Happy Mother's Day to all you special people!

SATURATED CANARY DOUBLE TAKE BIRTHDAY CARD

A special birthday card for a special lady! This is one I made for my lovely neighbour Jimbo to give to his wife, the lovely Nanny Jean! The pair of them do so much for me, I would be truly lost without them.
I've used the "Double Take" stamp from Saturated Canary (Krista's blog  is THE best blog in the world!), coloured her in with Promarkers and added a little Stickles for some sparkle. The image is layered onto pink pearlescent card, and then onto a piece of pink floral paper from my stash. I've used some sparkly trim and finished off with some heart gems and a diamante centred organza flower for extra bling!
I'm entering this in the In The Pink challenge "Pink & BLING".

SATURATED CANARY CHRISTMAS BOOK CARD

Well I'm a happy bunny! Feeling so much better, the dizziness is moving off slowly, so all good. Mr Mojo is back too! So I've gone a bit mad this week. I've bought loads of Saturated Canary stamps (love them all!) and I've used "Nikki" to make this rather special card. I've coloured her in with Promarkers and layered her up on some blue and Kraft card. The base card is a doddle to make but it looks so good! Here's a pic of the inside:
Closed up, it looks like a book, and inside there is a drawer to which you can add a little gift or money.
I've had a little play with the "snowflake" on the front. I cut some white seam binding and dipped the ends in German Glass Glitter, stuck it together in a kinda snowflake shape, and added another snowflake to the centre. Not sure if I like it yet or not ;-/
I'm entering this in Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas Challenge which is to use ribbon, and also in the monthly CHNC challenge "anything goes".
