SPECIAL THANK YOUS

Good Morning!
Today I am thankful for all I have. Today I am thankful for all I have not. And today I am thankful to Teri at Delicious Doodles for having me as a guest designer for March. Sadly, this is my last DT card for the Delicious Doodles challenge blog (for now!) but hopefully I'll be asked back one day (please!).
The theme this week is "Mother's Day or Someone Special"; what could be easier?!
I have used Rosalee,  a gorgeous image and a pleasure to colour. I've used some "rosey" background paper layered onto pink paper. I've distressed all the edges and wrapped around some lace and ribbon, adding a little bow to compliment the image.
So that's all from me. Hope all you yummy Mummys enjoy your Mother's Day here in the UK (and don't be too upset that we lose an hour with the clocks going forward!).

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE OF LIFE

Hi everyone.
This blog was going to be entitled "Oh Crappy Day" for the following reasons:
1. BUSY beyond belief day at work
2. Half way through said BUSY beyond relief day, hubby texts me to say the car is poorly and is now at the car fixers (our friend BIG Dave)
3. I'd totally forgotten to do this card for the Lacy Sunshine challenge, so did a very rushed job
4. In a rush, I took a totally crappy photo!
5. I walked into a door last night and my head is still pounding.
6. It's pouring down with rain and I have to go out in it again to make a deliver I forgot earlier.

However....hubby has just walked through the front door and told me that the brother of one of his work colleagues was rushed into hospital last night, and has sadly passed away today. So sudden, so sad.
Makes all my little troubles seem really insignificant now.
So I'm feeling humbled and hugely grateful for everything I have, looking on the brighter side of life.

The card is made using Wilkes the Pirate and Parrot Whiskey which I've coloured in (rather badly) with Promarkers. The background is a lovely digipaper, with a computer-generated sentiment.

That's it from me.

DOODLING WITH THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Good morning blogland! Hope you are all well.
A fun challenge this week at The Crafter's Cafe.....we want to see you DOODLING!
Doodle-loo, doodle-loo. doodle-loo-hoo-hoooooooo!
Our sponsors this week are:
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/
and
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/artbymiran

I have used a freebie from Scrapper's Delight which I've coloured with Promarkers and (taking inspiration from a crafting chum) covered with micro-beads. First time I've used this technique but it won't be the last. Love how it turned out! The backing paper is from my stash; I've doodled faux stiching around the edge, with a doodled ladybird trail leading to the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment. This is also "doodled" but I cheated and used the old "tracing paper" technique that we all learned at school....many moons ago for me!
Now it's over to you....get ya doodle on!

TIL DEATH DO US PART

Hello!
I'm back again with my GDT make Delicious Doodles, this time using "Angel of Death". The theme for the challenge this week is "Black plus one other colour".
I had my hubby in mind when making this one.....so went a bit soppy with the sentiment, which I printed on the old PC. I die-cut some black and red hearts and layered them up so they actually look like red heart frames! Ooh, and I've added a couple of peel-offs to the corners to finish the card off.
So now it's over to you! Black plus one! Join in the fun at Delicious Doodles.

DANCE DANCE DANCE

Good morning bloggers!
What a lucky lady I am! As a member of the DT for Crafting for all Seasons I got to play with an image from Kenny K this week! Wahooooooooo!
I chose to use Boogie Down for my card. Our challenge is to use NO DESIGNER PAPERS! A bit tough for me as I LOVE my papers but I have landed double lucky this week....my crafting pal is moving house and I have very kindly offered to babysit some of her crafting goodies (aren't I lovely?!) which included all her dies (how good is that!!) and some stencilling masks. I have never used a mask before, so please excuse my inking! She's hidden this little beaut in the box of dies. Brick work led to graffitti....which led to the DANCE wording. A quick card; the colouring of this image was as easy as pie, but I love the finished piece! So now it's over to you! Our fab sponsor is:

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all of your creations!
The creator, the artist, the man: KennyK is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world.  His signature style can be seen throughout his various collections of sexy pinup babes, sweet 'n sassy girls, cool rockin' dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at KennyKDownloads.com.
and the theme is "No Designer Papers"....it's easier than you think!

GOING GREEN WITH DELICIOUS DOODLES

Good morning everyone!
I'm back again with my GDT make Delicious Doodles, this time using "Lilleth". The theme for the challenge this week is "Mainly green for St. Patrick's Day".
I have a "thing" for colouring hair in different colours, so this was a doddle for me! I've used Promakers to colour the gorgeous image, then made a simple background with paper from Papermania, a die-cut swirl, and flowers from my stash.
So now it's over to you! Show us your GREENS and join in the fun at Delicious Doodles.

GETTING CURIOUS WITH LACY SUNSHINE

Hello blogland!
Here I go again.....
This card is for the challenge on Lacy Sunshine's Facebook page.
We had a choice!  Amelia Curiosities VS Bashful Boo!
I chose to go over to the DARK side! It's a bit of fun!
I've coloured my little Amelia in with Promakers and made up a layered background of spotty purple paper and card with a little black netting thrown in. I made a little bow from the netting and some purple organza ribbon, and added some heart gems. I printed the sentiment on my PC.
Promarkers used:
Hair: Plum, Amethyst and Orchid
Skin and bones: Ducky Pink, Oatmeal, Blush, Cool Greys 1 and 2.
Dress: Cool greys 1 to 5
With a little bit of Poppy!

SIMPLY FLOWERS IN THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Good morning everyone!
A little late with my post today, the old computer keeps having a hissy fit!
Anyway, good to go now.
Here is my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe challenge where the theme this week is "Flowers". How easy is that?!
We have two FAB sponsors this week:
http://lacysunshine.weebly.com/
and
http://meljensdesigns.com/

I have used a freebie digi from Meljens for my card, which I printed onto Kraft paper. I have coloured it in with Promarkers and used a little Inkessentials white pen for some highlights. A simple embellishment of a little wooden ladybird and a lovely fun quote I found online.
That's it, very simple, just like me!
Now it's over to you.....look forward to seeing your FLORAL creations!

ANYTHING BUT A CARD FOR DELICIOUS DOODLES

Hi everyone.
Teri, owner of Delicious Doodles , has very kindly given me the chance to be her Guest Designer for March! Yay for me!!!!
And for my first challenge, it's "Anything but a card". This meant just one thing....time to get the Mod Podge out!
I've made a Pillow Box, following a tutorial I found on YouTube, and covered it with papers from my stash. I Then coated the whole thing with Mod Podge (LOVE this stuff!). The Delicious Doodles image is called "Steampunk Heart" which I've coloured in with Promarkers. I have embellished the box with some odds and ends I found in my craft room.
Hope you like it. Can't wait to see your creations on the Delicious Doodles Challenge blog!
Hugs
