ROSES IN BLOOM

Super quick card today, after all that craftiness yesterday! Just got home from work to finish this one off.

The image is from Delicious Doodles and I just wanted a quick and simple card. I've added the sentiment on my PC before printing, and coloured in the rose and butterfly. To really make the rose POP, I've added some Glossy Accents.
That's it! Job done!

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM

Last one for today, promise!
It's another Lacy Sunshine one; this little cutie is called "Anastasia with Poppies". I wanted to give her a dreamie look so I've blended my Promarkers really well to make her clothing look a bit "washed and well worn"!
I've used another die, which I love, because I can thread ribbon through it! There's also a die-cut swirly!
The backing paper is from Nitwits "Harvest Delights" collection and the DREAMy letters are Nitwits "Alphawits-Love Letters".
Flowers and pearls and all other loveliness is from my stash!
Hugs (and Night Night!)

OH HIPPY DAYS....

I know! Another post!
I have got the day off today...been crafting lots, with a teensy weensy bit of housework in between.
This card is made using Eleanor Hippie Chick from Lacy Sunshine. She is soooooo ME!
I've coloured her in with Promarkers and cut around the image with a die-cut (don't know what it's called because I threw away the packaging!).
I've layered up papers from Papermania, with some frayed burlap and a doily. The flowers, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.
I've made two other cards today....might be another post yet!
Hugs

POPPIES ON FIRE

Hi everyone!
I've got a bonus day off work today so I'm a happy crafting bunny!
I think my love of poppies has hit a new high! This digistamp is from the absolutely fantabulous Aurora Wings and she is called "Elf with poppy blooms". Isn't she gorgeous?
I spent most of last weekend in bed with man-flu but did manage to do some colouring. I spent about six hours on this beauty, and I love it! I am an avid fan of Alyce Keegan (THE QUEEN of colouring , in my opinion), you can find her blog here. I watched one of her many tutorials, and thought I'd have a go, venturing into new worlds of colouring. I've conquered a few of my colouring fears and also been a little adventurous with my colour combos (listed below).
I have made a very simple card with my little elf....I didn't want the image to be lost under lots of embellishments. She is simply layered up onto red and green card, wrapped in some twine, and a little poppy added.
Hope you like her!
Promarkers used:
Skin: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Oatmeal and Blush
Hair: Walnut, Tan and Ivory
Green bits (inc eyes): Petrol Blue (yes, BLUE!), Olive Green, Pear Green and Pastel Beige
Poppies: Poppy, Burnt Orange, Honeycomb and Walnut (yes, WALNUT!)
Thanks for looking
Hugs

GETTING SENTIMENTAL AT CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well.
I'm here today with my DT make for  Crafting for all Seasons where the theme for the next fortnight is "sentiment as focus". So we want you to choose a sentiment and use that as the main focal point of your project.
I have used "Warm winter wishes" digi from Inky Impressions, our fabby sponsor for this challenge.
I printed the image onto white card, then measured the "square" it occupied. I then took a piece of double-sided patterned paper and cut a piece approximately 4cm bigger than the sentiment "square".
Next, I measured out the central square and centre point, and carefully cut back to each corner; this gives you the four triangular flaps to fold back and attach to the layered background. Hope that makes sense! It really is easy to do but hard to explain!
I finished the card of with some gem-centred snowflakes.
Now it's over to you....Let's get Sentimental!

HAVE A HEART CRAFTER'S CAFE CHALLENGE

Hi everyone. Sending out big hugs and prayers for those affected by the floods here in the UK. Felt a little sad yesterday with people in my little part of the world complaining when it started to snow here. WE'VE BEEN LUCKY!!!! We're not flooded; we've not had our lives turned upside down! The snow didn't even stick! STOP COMPLAINING! There....rant over! Shall I move on.....?
This is my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe where the theme this week is "Must have hearts".
We have two fabulous sponsors:
http://deliciousdoodles.blogspot.co.uk/
and
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

I chose to use Romantic Clock Face from Delicious Doodles for my card. I made a side stepper card, added some heart trim, and some heart embellishments I found in my stash. Hope you like it!
Hopefully, you all have someone to love! Everyone loves a bit of love don't they? So get crafting and show us your hearts!
Big Hugs

DT CALL AT DELICIOUS DOODLES

Hi everyone. I'm just a tad wee bit excited about this. One of my FAVE digi companies has got a DT call out! Whoop whoop!
Teri, the owner of Delicious Doodles, is looking for FOUR new DT members. So here's my entry!
My first sample using "Poppies":
This was possibly my favourite card of 2013, I used this image for loads of cards, and even have one framed because it's so beautiful.

My second sample using "Skully Santa":
I used this image on a twisted easel card. The image is coloured with Promarkers and I've added some Glossy Accents to highlight his eyes and the bauble. Finished the card off nicely (or not so nicely!) with the "Merry Creepmas" sentiment, and some mdf snowflakes which I've coated in black Stickles.

My third sample using "Snowdrop Fairy":
I decided to go all out with greens on this one! Adore this image! She's so pretty and delicate.

And that's my lot!
Good luck to everyone who applies.
Big hugs
Fiona xx

LOVE IS THE AIR IN THE DRAGON'S LAIR

Good morning everyone.
I'm here today with my DT card for Stamping with the Dragon , yep, another new venture for me!
Our theme for the next fortnight is " Love is in the Air".
I have used paper from the Dreamy Peach set along with a digi stamp called Swirly Triple Hearts.
I printed the digi onto white card, and again onto a sheet of the digi paper, from which I cut out the hearts, and "patched" them onto the white card. This is layered onto gold mirri card and onto another piece of matching Dreamy Peach paper. All stuck onto a mirri base card.
I've used a few butterfly puchies as a simple embellishment.
Hope you like it.
(Apologies for rubbish photo....I always struggle with mirri card!!!)
So now it's over to you....come join the love in at the Dragon's lair! There's a £5 voucher to spend in Stamping Dragon's Designs store up for grabs!
Hugs

SHOW US SOME ROMANCE

Good morning everyone!
I'm here today spreading the lurve!
This is my DT make for Crafting for all Seasons and the theme is "Show us some Romance".
The image I have used is called "Lots o love octopus" from Meljens and this little cutey can be found here.
I have used the "dotty" technique to colour him in, with my Promarkers. I have used Frantage around the edge of the image, and used a gauze swab (because I think it looks like a wave) and some buttons (my pebbles on the beach).
Now it's over to you.....get all lovey dovey and "Show us some Romance"!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Meljens Designs with FOUR digis up for grabs.
Hugs
