CRAFTING FOR ALL SEASONS DT CALL

Hi all.
As I'm enjoying my little part of the big crafting world right now, I thought I'd have a bash at this! Crafting For All Seasons are after new members for their design team. Yay!
Here are the details:
Here's what would be expected from you as a DT member:
  1. Make a project once a fortnight according to the theme, sponsor images may be available. Post your project timeously to the DT blog and post on your own blog at 9.00am GMT on the day of the challenge.
  2. Comment on numbers assigned to you ( two numbers out of ten).
  3. Choose a Top Three after the challenge closes.
  4. Have fun!!
The initial term will be from January to June 2014
All you have to do is showcase three of your favourite projects and write a little about you!
So here goes ME!
I'm married, we have two kids, and I work at a well-known chemist. I drink far too much coffee, and eat way too many bags of crisps! My greatest love is stamping and coloring; as long as I have my Pro-markers, I'm a happy lady! I enjoy making shaped cards, and love being able to make personalized cards and gifts. And that's me!
The cards I make can be simple or more elaborate,as you can see from the three I've chosen to showcase:

And that's my style!
Got everything crossed for this one!

OUT ON A WHIMSY

Hi everyone.
Mr Mojo has returned! Yay!
I can't believe this is my first card using a digi from Whimsy stamps. It won't be my last! This little lady is called "Wee Suzi" and I went all out with my Promarkers to get those pleats right! Did I do ok?
The background is what I call a bargain.....I went to a closing down sale last week and picked up the paper and the lace from there, as well as lots of other goodies. I've done faux stitching with a fine nibbed Promarker, and added a gauze swab (love these!) and a metal filigree corner which I've "frantaged", another first for me. I'll be doing lots of that in the next few months, it's a good way to keep warm in my little craft room!
The flowers are from my stash and I've poked in a few curly stems (waste not, want not).
Hope you like it!
Off now to make some Christmas cards.
Hugs

SAY GOODBYE TO SUMMER

Hi again....I know, THREE blog posts in one day! Wanted to share this one with everyone as a little pick me up, as the weather here has been so wet and well, just rubbish!
I made this card a few days ago for the challenge over at Stamping with Dragon. I read the remit wrong though, typical me! This started out as a square easel card, but the challenge is "CIRCLES" so I had to amend it. Can you tell?
The image is called "Summer Fun" designed by the lovely Janette, who owns Stamping Dragon Designs.
I've coloured it in with Promarkers and made a CIRCULAR easel card, layered with some papers, also from Stamping Dragons. The paper pack can be found here. The postcard stamp is also from their shop, such a versatile stamp. I love it! You can find it here, in a pack of FOUR!
Hope that's cheered up your day a little.
Big Hugs

GOT THAT SPOOKY FEELING WITH THE CRAFTER'S CAFE

Hi everyone.
This is my SPOOKY make for the challenge over at The Crafter's Cafe this week.
Our sponsor is Rick St Dennis.
For my card, I chose Trick or Treat. I've coloured this fun digi in with my Promarkers, and created a background of purple paper, wrapped with sparkly black wool. The white stuff is a gauze swab....love using these, and they are soooo very cheap (from any good chemist!).The little tags are some I had in my stash.
Come over and scare us if you can, with your SPOOKABLE makes!

NATURE CALLS WITH RHEDD & ROSIES

Hi everyone, hope you are well.
I've been struggling with Mr Mojo this week....hate it when that happens. Feel even worse when I have to make a card with an "Anything Goes" theme!!!
And that's what we're doing at Rhedd and Rosies this week.
I decided to make a birthday card for a friend who is so difficult to make for...double whammy! She is a super fit outdoorsie type, and definitely not girly, so I went with a natural theme. I've cut squares of "Birdsong" paper and edged them with a brown Promarker. These are stuck onto a Kraft base card, wrapped with brown twine. The sentiment was a freebie from a magazine.
Sandie is sponsoring our challenge this week; here's a piccy of her prize:
So there you go ladies, ANYTHING GOES so go for it!

GUEST BLOGGER SPOT FOR STAMPING DRAGONS

Well HELLLLLOOO! Big smiles for me today, as I am guest blogger on Stamping Dragon Designs Blog.
Stamping Dragon Designs is a FAB digi company owned by Janette Padley , and her designs are just brilliant. There are LOADS of papers, scrap layouts, and digistamps in her store... take a looky here .
For my card today, I have used Jiggy meets Rudolf. As the digi is a hexagonal shape, I thought I'd carry the theme on, and made a hexagonal easel card.
I've coloured the image in with my Promarkers, and layered it onto some silver mirri card. The paper is from my stash, and I've used some die cut holly leaves and cream flowers to finish the card off.
Stamping Dragon designs have a fantastic MEGA friendly group on facebook. Lots of daily fun and ideas, as well as cakes!!! Come join in the fun

Hope to see you there!

THE ELVES ARE COMING!

Good morning Blogland! I thought I write a post on this rather wet (very wet!) day in Old Blighty, before I go to work. At least it should be a quiet afternoon, I can't see many people venturing out in this weather!
Today's card is made using two of my favourite Saturated Canary images called Mickey and Molly. I've coloured them in with Promarkers and layered the image onto Kraft card. The background is made up of pieces of paper from Papermania "Classic Christmas" range. I've added a piece of frayed burlap (love this stuff!) and a little button and burlap bow.
Hope you like it!
Ironically, I have to go and dry my hair now BEFORE going out to wet again! Hey-ho!

SIMPLE STEPPER CHRISTMAS CARD

Super quick post....footy is on! This my entry for Hazel's challenge this week. Chuffed with myself for making a stepper card from scratch. The topper is a simple background done with my Promarkers, with a peel-off on top. Finished off with some coordinating ribbon. Happy me!

TIME FOR TEA

Hi everyone. A little late with my DT post for The Crafter's Cafe , please forgive me. I've just sat down after a hectic few days planning and celebrating my little girl's 10th birthday (today!). Finally got her to bed; it's been like Christmas here today! We've had a brilliant day though and despite what I said to my friends earlier, I HAVE enjoyed listening to her play her new keyboard!!
So onto my card. The challenge this week is to use your Favourite Thing. Easy as pie! I've used flowers as my favourite thing but also managed to incorporate lots of favourites!
The image is from our sponsor this week, Eureka stamps. This one is called "Time for Tea". I've coloured it in with my Promarkers (my favourite pens) and layered it onto a piece of gingham paper. I wanted to give the card a "kitcheny" feel, my favourite room, and the paper reminded me of a tablecloth. I've kept the embellisments simple; a few flowers, my favourite embellishment, which include a poppy and some roses (my daughter is called Poppi-Rose).
I showed this card to my hubby, and he said it's exactly what I look like in the morning!! I think he loves me??!!
So, it's over to you. Show us your favourites! You could win a fab prize from Eureka
Big Hugs

SHADES OF AUTUMN

Hi everyone. The new challenge at Rhedd and Rosies for the next fortnight is "Shades of Autumn". I've used a Saturated Canary image called "Orchard"....I adore her! I've coloured her in with my ever-faithful Promarkers. The backing paper is from my stash, I think it's called "Birdsong". If I kept a tidier craft room, I would know these things! I've used a piece of jute (I love this stuff) and embellished with a few flowers from Mulberry Crafts.
Our very own Rebecca is sponsoring this challenge and here is the lovely prize on offer:
Can't wait to see your Autumnal creations. I love this time of year....colours changing and getting all snuggly!

DANCING QUEEN

Good morning all! Today's card is one I've made for my not-so-little girl! It's her birthday this week and I've been dying to use this beautiful little stamp from All Dressed Up.
This uber-cute ballerina girl is a freebie and can be found here.
I've coloured her in with my Promarkers and cut around the image (not something I usually do), edging it with Diamond Stickles. The papers are from an old NitWit Christmas collection I got free with a magazine. I've wrapped  around some organza ribbon, and added a few star gems.
I think I've managed to incorporate all of Poppi's favourite things.....dancing, the colour purple, and sparkles!
That's all from me for now. Off to work in a bit :-(
Hugs
