MUMMY TO BE CARD

A simple card today for my special little "simple" friend (love you Momma Pat!) to give to her niece. Pat is my bestest customer but she's also the fussiest, and my best critic all rolled into one. I call her Mum Number 2, as I've known her most of my life, and she gave me my first job, which, funnily enough was in a card shop!!
She likes natural colours so I've chosen to use Kraft card as a base, and a digi paper from Stamping Dragon Designs; this one is from "Age of Innocence" but I think my printer is playing up a little as it's supposed to be pale green, but the browny beige it ended up as is a fine result for this card!
I've added a pram and dummy (cut on my Cricut) and a sentiment I printed on my PC.
I'm entering this in Freshly Made Sketches challenge number 91 and here's the sketch:
Hopefully Momma Pat will like it!
I've got a couple more cards to make today...will be sharing them over the next couple of days.
Have a lovely evening everyone!
Hugs

COME FLY WITH ME....

Look at me....two cards in one day! Not showing off, honest! I just had a massive MOJO injection and couldn't decide which one to share with you for this week's challenge at Rhedd and Rosies , which oddly enough is "TAKE FLIGHT"! We want to see all your wonderful creations that have a flying theme.

Card number one: the background is made up of scraps of paper I had left over from another card, digipapers from Tsunami Rose Designs , which I've edged with faux stitching, so it creates a kind of patchwork effect. The stamp is a digi , which I got AGES ago, and alas, can't remember where from :-/
All layered up on Kraft card, and I simply wrapped around a few pieces of string, and frayed the ends.

Card number two: A bit more technical! All you need are some coordinating papers, I used some Easter ones from NITWITS, and cut out three lots of three different sized scalloped circles. For instance, 3 x 3inch, 3 x 2inch, and 3 x 1inch. Fold each circle in half and stick together, leaving a flat back. (Hope that makes sense!). The baskets are just bits of corrogated card, and I've used string for the ropes. The sentiment is one I've printed on my PC. Simples!

Thanks for taking the time to look. And GOOD LUCK with the challenge. There's a fab prize on offer by DT member  Zoe , here's a picture to tempt you!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!

SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES

Well, it's actually sunday but it WAS movie night last night! We watched "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (new version) for the third time. I love it, could watch it over and over and never tire of it. Highly recommended, as are the books!
Anyway, back to business. Today's card is for the current Saturated Canary Blog challenge "Show us your LOVELY". And here is my "Lovely", such a beautiful stamp. This was a first in two ways for me...my first "proper" red dress, with folds, and the first time I've cut around a stamp; typically for me, I chose a tricksy one! But I quite like how she turned out. I found the backing paper online (for your information- don't EVER google "Girls on film"; you'll get much more than the Duran Duran song!!), and the die cut film strip is from my stash. I've finished it off with a few flowers and stamens, and added a touch of Glossy Accents to her lips and the rose.
I love my Lovely!
Hope you like her too.

OOH LA LA POPPY CARD WITH HEART

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with my post for Rhedd and Rosies, where the challenge this week is "Ribbons and Lace".
I have made a card with a pocket, into which I've slotted a matching wooden heart. The card base is a doddle to make, simply cut the front part in half diagonally, and then use the cut off triangle to make a pocket, by sticking it on the inside of the front half of the card along the left and bottom edges (hope that makes sense!). I have added black lace and red ribbon to the diagonal edge. The stamp I used is from Indigo Blue. I've coloured in the poppies with Promarkers (Cardinal Red and Poppy) and added a touch of white pen to the smaller flowers. Embellished simply with some black butterfly punchies.
Here's a couple of close up pics:

Hope you like it!
Please come over and join in the fun! The prize on offer this time is an assortment of wooden shapes (selected by our sponsor) which can be decorated or altered.
Our sponser:

"Craft Shapes Torbay is a husband & wife team run from workshops in the sunny seaside town of Torquay in Devon.
It was created to help Kim, who originally set up her company Dotty Heaven who makes personalised and bespoke wooden gifts. She was finding it very difficult to source the right shapes and designs for her customers - and wanted to offer something a little different to the "run of the mill" craft shapes available for purchase on the internet.
Husband, Ashley researched different methods of wood cutting and after a year of using a CNC machine they decided to invest in a Laser Cutting machine.
Craft Shapes Torbay is still in it's early stages but in it's first 6 months of business is going from strength to strength - with a portfolio of over 100 designs already. New shapes and designs are being created every day and they welcome requests on new deigns too."

Looking froward to seeing all your gorgeousness!
