SHE SELLS SEASHELLS
Hi lovely people!
It's been a Bank Holiday here in England, and my lovely hubby took our little girl down to our local fair (I don't like going- hate crowds!)....and my boy went out with his mates, so I've had a whole day to myself....CRAFT HEAVEN!
I've caught up with a few DT cards but this one is just for me. I've had the idea brewing since I got the freebie image of Heather Valentin on her Lacy Sunshine Facebook page...fell in love with this little mermaid as soon as I saw her!
For a change, I have used lots Polychromos to colour the image, together with some Promarkers. I die-cut some shell shapes to make the base card, adding some Frantage to both sides. I also die-cut the image and some little swirlies. The embellishments are quite simple; I always keep the offcut stems from mulberry flowers (just in case!) and I've used a few of those today to make little twirls, by twisting them around a wooden kebeb stick, and covering them in German Glass Glitter. The only other bitsies I have used are a few flowers, pearl string, cheesecloth and some flat-backed pearls. Here' a close-up of the image:
Hope you like it!

GOING GIRLY AT THE CRAFTER'S CAFE
Hi everyone.
My card today is my DT make for The Crafter's Cafe where the theme this week is "GIRLY". Easy as pie!
I have used a gorgeous image from Delicious Doodles, called "Blossom". I LOVE her!! Having had a few Copics slip into my craftroom in the last couple of weeks, I have used a combination of these and my Promarkers to colour her in. Did I say I LOVE her?! The base card is from Whichcraft and I've used yet more freebie papers layered up onto pink card. Simple embellishments of a few butterflies finish the card off.
We have two fabby sponsors this week:
Now it's over to you! Go GIRLY!

FLYING HIGH AT CFAS
Good morning! Hope you are all well.
My card today is my DT make for Crafting For All Seasons where the challenge is "Things with wings". We have the fab Lacy Sunshine as our sponsor and I've chosen to use an image called Truddi FruitFly Buggmee.
I've coloured the image in with Promarkers, going a bit wild with the hair again! I found some lovely strawberry ribbon in my craftroom when I tidied it up a few weeks ago, and wanted to use that, so I thought I'd have a go at a new card shape for me. I don't know what this design is called, I'll try and find a link for it later! The backing paper is a digi from Raspberry Road (I think) and the padded strawberry is from my stash.
Now it's over to you. Flutter or fly over and show us your crafty makes.

ICE QUEEN COMETH
Hi everyone. Thought I'd have a sit down and enter blogland for a bit. I started tidying up my computer desk this morning....three hours later, I've cleaned the whole room, top to bottom! Even washed the curtains! So I'm having a cuppa and a rest!
Today's card is a simple one. I've embossed the whole front of the card with dotties, adding a snippet strip of snowflake paper on silver mirri card. The image is called Christina and she's from Delicious Doodles. As the inspiration for this card was the blue poinsettia I cut out WEEKS ago, I went for the wild blue hair look!
Hope you like it. Back to the grind now!

DISTRESS TO DE-STRESS
Hello everyone.
Here's another card I've made using my fave colour combo of the mo! Love blues and browns together. Decided to go out with my distressing tool on this one. My poor son is having girlfriend troubles (he's only 16); he's heartbroken and there's nothing I can do....and I feel useless! It's such a horrible thing to go through, and with big exams starting next week, the timing couldn't be worse! So DISTRESS to DE-STRESS!!!
I've used another Lacy Sunshine image, this little cutie is called Emmilou Boo's Inchworm.
I've used a combination of Promarkers and Copics to colour her up. The papers and all the bits and bobs are from my stash.
Hugs

SPECIAL STORY OF INSPIRATION FROM A TRUE HERO
Hi everyone!
A very special card for me! I'm pretty sure that most of you in the UK (and possibly further afield) have heard all about "Stephen's Story". If you haven't....where have you been??
Stephen Sutton is 19 years old; when he was 15, he was diagnosed with bowel cancer; TERMINAL! What he did next is truly AMAZING!!! He made a bucket list and one of the things on that list was to raise £10,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Now, a couple of weeks ago, Stephen was admitted to hospital with a collapsed lung (I won't go into too much detail because I won't be able to type through tears); he posted a final "Thumbs-Up" post on Facebook, saying this would be his last post. It went viral. Donations poured in and as I type, the total he has raised is £3,210,361.70....yep...that's over THREE MILLION POUNDS!!!
He has now raised the bar...we want to help him get to £5million!!
In a moment of pure madness, I sent a little message to Heather Valentin, owner of Lacy Sunshine Stamps. I told her all about Stephen and she very kindly drew this special image called "Jenni Boo" and has donated any monies from her sale to the Teenage Cancer Trust! How cool is that!!
If you have a minute or two, please take time to read about Stephen; he is truly inspirational!
And thank you!
Hugs

PRETTY FOR MY PRETTY
Hello blogland!
Something a little different from me! When I went to the Craft Show at the NEC last year, I picked up LOADS of MDF shapes, and during my MEGA craft room tidy up a couple of weeks ago, I found them all...still in the bag! Naughty me! SoI thought I'd try decorating one.
The heart shape has been covered with paper from Cuddly Buddly's "Country House" collection.
I've stuck string pearls all around the edge and added a strip of sparkly pear-trim lace. There's a bit of cheesecloth on there too, to make it a bit shabby! The digistamp is from Lacy Sunshine....she is called Lil Fidget!
I've coloured her in with Promarkers; fancied going a bit bonkers with the hair, and I love how it turned out!
Hope you like it!

DRIP DRIP DROP LITTLE APRIL SHOWER
Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. The sun is shining away here , as it did last time I had a week off work! I'm so lucky! So I thought I'd make a card about RAIN! Haha!
The image I have used is from Saturated Canary and she is called "Sweet Oklahoma". Isn't she adorable!
I have used Promarkers and Copics to colour in this one, only the second time I have used Copics for hair, but I'm really enjoying working with them. I'll never get rid of my Pros though...love them too much!
The background papers are from the "Denim and Diamonds" collection from Raspberry Road Designs, which I've distreesed a little, and applied a little paint to "age" them. The paint I've used is from Wickes...not sure whether its an "ok" product to use on cards but hey-ho...it works for me; it is called Chalky Flat Matt and the colour is "Harvest Moon", and it only cost 50p!!! It looks and feels lovely!
I've used a piece of frayed hessian, some cheesecloth, and some red and white twine, simply embellished with some red buttons.
And that's it!
Hugs

FLOWERS FLOWERS EVERYWHERE
Good morning bloggers!
Here is my DT make for Stamping with the Dragon .
Our theme for the next fortnight is "Flowers".
I have used the "Pansy Papers" available in store, together with "Spring Beauty" digistamp.
The card is quite simple to make, folding back the corners of the paper, and adding some flowers to each corner. I have made this card for my Mum. She bought me the pansies I've used, to add some colour to my garden, in the days when she thought I'd never grow my own. I DID!! So these pansies have been sat in a jar in my craft room ever since.
Now it's over to you.....THINK FLOWERS!!!
There's lots of gorgeousness to browse through in the Stamping Dragon shop! And the winning project will receive a £5 voucher to spend in store!
Hugs
