Good morning! It's a new month which means it's new challenge time at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge. The theme, as always, is "ANYTHING GOES". We simply require you to use some patterned paper or card. Time to use that stash!
I have made an anniversary card for my neighbours, who have just celebrated 52 years together. That is some achievement!
I used a sheet of patterned paper, cutting about seven scalloped heart shapes. These were then folded in half and I glued them back to back, creating a 3-d effect. The back is the same patterned paper layered onto red card, and I printed the sentiment on my PC.
Now, the sad news. Here is an announcement from our leader, Hazel:
Having run the Patterned Paper blog for eight years, I've been thinking it's time for a break .... this isn't an easy or quick decision, but one that has been on my mind for some time and recent family situations and life in general has made me realise that this is the right decision. I've been through difficult times during those eight years and have never missed a challenge. So the December challenge will be the last one,
I've been so grateful for all those who have been on the design team over the years, including, of course, the present ones. So many have shared their inspirational designs and so many wonderful crafters have entered the challenges to share theirs.
Of course I am saddened by this but I totally understand. Hazel has worked tirelessly to keep two excellent blogs going but it's time for her to have a rest! I do plan on carrying on cardmaking, I have to....I have to much stuff to use up!
Looking forward to seeing your makes.
Hugs
Fiona xx
