A very quick make from me today. This is for the challenge at Crafty Hazel Nuts which this week is "Use white...a little or a lot". I love white on white cards, I think they can be so elegant.
I layered up a snowflake cut from white and silver mirri card, adding a touch of Stickles and a big gem to the centre. This is attached to a piece of embossed pearlescent (off-white!) card, then simply wrapped the base card with some organza ribbon, and added a bow and the sentiment. SIMPLES!
One of my favourite Christmas makes so far!
Hugs
Fiona
PS. Will also be entering this in Hazel's monthly challenge for May which can be found here.

SATURATED CANARY FUNKY HAIR CARD
Two cards in ONE day! Crazy! But hey, I'm enjoying myself! lol
This one is my favourite...I've used "Tis the Season Springtime II" stamp from Saturated Canary; I lurve Krista's stamps, and she's just brought out some new ones, take a look here. All gorgeous!
I've coloured her in with Promarkers; the challenge this week is "hair that's different" so I've gone for it with bright reds and oranges!
The background paper is a freebie from a mag and I've used THAT clock die again, and a few flowers and stamens from my stash.
Enjoy your weekend everyone.

BLOOMING LOVELY CARD
This is my second card as DT member of Rhedd and Rosies.
A simple but effective one! I've cut different sized flowers on my Cricut and layered them up, adding a pearl flower centre. The stems and sentiment are by my own steady (?) hand! The papers used are from the Summertime collection collection , freebies from a magazine. Come to think of it, the Kraft card used was very kindly donated to me by my friend Tina; check out her blog here: Touched by an Angel. She makes some AMAZING stuff! And the ribbon was given to me by my neighbour, who very kindly cuts the "hangy ribbons" out of her tops for me! So, apart from the pearl centres, this card was FREE! Bargain!
Please pop over and feel free to join in the challenge BLOOMING LOVELY!

MOTHER'S DAY (FOR SOME!)
Happy Mother's Day to all in America (and Malta I believe!).
Here's a little vintage style card I've made using papers from Tsunami Rose and vintage prints from Free Vintage Digistamps.
This little girl so reminds me of me (a few years ago :-/) and of my own little girl now!
I've layered everything up onto cream card, and edged it all with Tim Holtz "Antique Linen" ink.
I'm entering this in Tsunami Rose Designs challenge "Mother's Day".

SENTIMENTAL CHRISTMAS CARD
I've just been blown home from work but I've managed to hold onto my hat and most of my faculties!
Today's card is a Christmas one for Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas challenge which this week is to "use a sentiment"....hope this counts!
I've used a ready-made double concertina card base from Whichcraft, onto which I've layered up some papers from the Papermania "Silent Night" range. The stamp is one I bought a while ago off ebay. The only embellishment I added was a little sparkly trim, I don't think it needed any more. I like the simple elegance of it as it is!
I'm going to have a nice cup of cocoa now to warm up me cockles!

FANTASY LAND DRAGON AND BIG NEWS!
Good Morning World! Today I'm sharing my little Fantasy Dragon card, which is my first "make" as a new DT member of Rhedd and Rosies Challenge Blog. Keeping this little piece of news has been killing me but there it is!
We were given a choice of fantasy/mythical stamps to use, and I chose this gorgeous dragon. I've coloured him in with Promarkers and just layered up some papers and card for a simple background. The sentiment is from a collection by Cuddly Buddly.
Promarkers used : Pine,Grass, Leaf Green, Saffron, and a combination of Cool Greys.
The challenge:
Fantasy/Mythical...6th Challenge
Make anything you like as long as it is within the theme. Please be mindful of the rules relating to our challenges, they can found under the blog header. This weeks challenge is sponsored by Rick St Dennis Digistamps.
There's a choice of THREE digistamps up for grabs by the winner.
Hope you all like my little green beast!

GET YOUR SKATES ON CHRISTMAS CARD
Evening all! What a glorious bank holiday weekend we're having. Too nice to be crafting but heyho, just gotta get my fix!
This card is made using "Nikki" from Saturated Canary. I've layered up some embossed and sanded coordinations cardstock, which hopefully gives a snowy effect (?!) onto a piece of brown corrugated card.
The sentiment and flowers are from my stash.
I'm entering this card in Winter Wonderland challenge "Dashing through the snow".

RIBBON CHRISTMAS TREE
I feel like I've been neglecting Christmas cards but here I am with another entry for Crafty Hazel Nuts Christmas challenge which this week is "Ribbons and bows".
I cut out a Christmas tree shape and wrapped it with two coordinating Docrafts Grosgrain ribbons, adding a gold star to the top. I wanted to keep the background relatively simple to make the tree stand out...think it works!
I also be entering this in the Hazel's monthly challenge (anything goes) which can be found here.
I've got a few cards to make in the next day or two (lucky for me to have five days off work!) but the one I'm so dreading is a 50th birthday card for a fellow (excellent!) cardmaker. I have so little faith in me....just haven't a clue what to do!
Anyhoooo.....best get to it!
